bought an 02 hd

Well I had to sell the 03 L, but got a sweet deal on an 02 HD so not to bad Iguess. I didn't get an owners manual with it, so I might have a question or two from time to time. Mine didn't come with a tow hitch, doese any one want to get rid of theirs?

Congrats. Did the same thing a month ago. My L was an '01 though.

Best of luck with it.

I really loved the L, BUT the wife wanted the HD(four doors). I have to say after a trip to Miss. it is a lot better ride than the L

Yep. We drove down to NC from NJ to pick it up and the trip back was nice and smooth.

I have yet to put a car seat in it though.

check your engine

does it have an oil separator:

It helps minimize this:

BTW, here's a hitch on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

No matter how many miles you have, never too late to add an oil sep now. It is not 100% effective but it is better than nothing. Other options:
PLUGS-AND-BREATHERS: http://www.nloc.net/forum/showthread...threadid=81006
Mileage may not be a good gauge of how dirty your I/C may be. My '01 L has 58K miles and it was filthy when I cleaned the I/C, TB and plenum but I have seen trucks with fewer miles that were dirtier.

HOW-TO CLEAN: http://www.azloc.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=774
Quick check: remove your intake boot and take a peek at your throttle body. This should give you a rough idea of the condition inside (plenum, I/C)

Forgot towing ratings (sorry). BTW, drop by here also: http://www.nhtoc.com/forum/

Congrats on your purchase. Are you gonna mod it any?

Dan, @ your truck. I haven't seen a HD lowered before.

Another option the the oil sep is the use of PCVs:

I'm not sure yet. It was lowered in the back before I got it, and it has an air raid intake. I plan to do more traveling with this truck as opposed to the L. The HD has a much nicer ride. I wish I could have kept theL (for racing, ect) but the four doors sure are nice. I kept up with the L foum when I had it but since I have the HD I thought I would keep the posts here.
