Can anyone help SES light is on, OBD code is P0340, indicates a cam position sensor malfunction, anyone help as to what i need to do to put it right?

 

Replace the cam position sensor before it leaves you sitting on the side of the road.

 

check the cam shaft synchronizer for warpage,

I have had a problem in the past and I did not bother to check it out and I ran through 4 cam shaft sensor before I figured out that the cam shaft synchronizer was a little warped.
