top end

Im thinking of trading in my current car for a truck in a few weeks and I have been thinking of getting a L or a HD. One thing that I was wondering about the 2 is the top speed for the HD.

Does anybody know what the supercharged HD top end speed is?

I know that the L's top out in the 140 range, so I was wondering if the HD can do something like that or are they limited?

Im just wondering.

The Speed Limiter limits it to 128 MPH. This can all be removed with a simple chip or the new Supertuner 1715 which will also give you more power. The speed is still climbing but the limiter cuts it off. This is a completely different beast then what you've got there. Good luck on getting a '03 style. You should be able to get a good price if you can find one.

I wished I could get a good price on one, 2 dealers I have been to want sticker price, which is a good 38 grand. Bad thing is that these 2 dealers are the only ones nearest to where I live with the HD, thats Paducah, Ky and Clarksville, Tn. I would have to travel almost 2 hours to Nashville for the next dealer. I don't want to go down there and get lost trying to find them. Theres 3 or 4 of them and I would spend all day just getting there.

Could anybody give me good tips on how to get a dealer to go lower on the price, if its possible? I did buy my current car from the Paducah lot earlier this year, so I may be able to pull some strings if I talk to the same sellsman that sold me my car. Maybe.

Any tips would be great.

they are smokin crack wanting $38K! I have seen them go for $32K. You also might want to check out a used 02 which I think were the nicest year of the Harley with the DSG color.

Check here this dealer was selling them for $32K. People were flying in to buy them from far and away.

One of the dealers I was looking at had a used 02 HD on the lot but sold it before I was able to do anything. Besides, they were asking 34K for it. They told me that they could lower the price some but that was still a little high for a used. It had 19K miles on it.

As for new, I have not yet seriously talk to them about the price. I start a new job in a 2 weeks and I did not want to get serious about it until I started, thats way I could not get the used HD they had.

They are smoken crack for wanting 38K, maybe new, but its an 03 and they have had it on the lot for a while. When I took it for a test drive, I noticed that it had over 60 miles on it before I drove it off the lot. Seems like the thing had been driven alot whiles its been there.

I may just go down there in the next few days and really talk them over about it. Maybe I'll get something out of it then. Im just hoping I do get this job.

I had a L and seen it way past 150mph. The local smokeys could not keep up with it. I have a HD now, and have not toped it out yet. Takes to long to build speed stock.
