Question Shock & Drop

Looking at the Edelbrock IAS Mono Tubes. Have a 02 DSG HD.
Part#s 33228 front
and 34228 Rear. Is what Edelbrock list as part #,s
I am going to install a Belltech 2" shackle, so will the shock fit in the rear?
Edelbrock lists these shocks as for the 02 HD and the Lighting with "STOCK" height!
So does the 2" drop make a difference? I would think it would as to compressing the shock.
Truck Performance has them for $68.99 and free shipping

You will be okay with a 2" rear drop and stock height shocks, but its still a good idea to pick up a set of So-Cal shock extenders.

For shocks, you can't beat a set of bilsteins. You can find them for between 27 and 35 bucks at the dealerships, and they make a huge improvement. Handles a ton better, alot less body roll, and they are dirt cheap for a quality shock

So-Cal shock extenders? What is that?

Called the dealer near me and they want $50 for them.
I also ask them if they have a Bilstein for a 2" drop rear and they did not know anything about that.
At this point I just want a quality shock that does not ride stiff.
Are those Bilsteins made for Ford a cheap version made to Fords specs like the cheap Ranchos?

I just want to get this project done already!

Every place I call wants $60 bucks and up for the Bilsteins!

Anyone have part #s for Bilsteins that fit my truck with a 2" dropped rear?
Also a dealer that sells them for $35 near me?

go over to nhtoc.com and look up crockett. he's in delaware and there's a dealer somewhere by him that sells them for 35 bucks each. maybe ask him for the dealers # if they are too far from you to drive.

anyway, the bilsteins are NOT a cheaper version just because ford sells them on the lightning. they ride awsome, handles great, and alot less body roll.

Ford doesn't sell them for a 2" rear drop, because the bilsteins come stock on the lightings, which have the same suspension we have.

Go over to nhtoc and do a search for "shock extenders" you'll find everything you ever wanted to know about them
