Question Check Engine and now bucking & jerking

Last week I had my 2002 #7296 in for service because the "Service Engine" light came on. Greenway Ford checked it out and replaced a sensor on the exhaust.
Now while going steady between 30-45 MPH I can feel a small jerking and bucking while driving.
Any ideas on what is up? Going in for the 2nd time in the morning.
The truck has 13K Miles on it.
I only burn 93 Premium in it.

Is this engine Supercharged??? I take you don't have an aftermarket chip.

If the engine is normally asperated, the 93 octane may be the problem. A normally asperated 5.4L, without an aftermarket chip to advance the timing, is simply not programmed to run 93 octane. The ignition cycle will start too late to properly burn the fuel and you'll actually lose power under light throttle conditions and run rich.

Since dealers don't get paid to diagnose vehicles under warranty, they may have simply decided to replace an HO2 sensor because that's the code that came up.

If your engine does require 93 octane... then it's back to the dealer

Don't know if this will help or not -
About three weeks ago I had a hesitation from green light take off then another at 30-35mph. Both involved light to moderate accel - just normal morning driving on my way to the office. Was heading to the Southern Nats the next day, as well mileage was 11,500 so to get problem recorded/looked at before warranty went out and before I went on the road trip I went straight to the dealer that morning. They did a computer module reprogram. They indicated there is an update out.
Have not had a problem since, about 1,100 miles. May want to ask about it. Though I never had the check engine light come on.

Could it be that you got some bad gas?

Being an environmental geologist, I've seen the insides of NUMEROUS underground storage gasoline tanks and it would boggle your mind the amount of sludge and sand and other solids that are in the bottoms of those tanks. Hence, if I see a tanker filling a tank, I won't buy gas there as it's a sure sign that all that sludge and crap is being stirred up within the tank.

The best time, in my opinion, to get gas is about 4 hours after the tanker leaves. That gives it all time to settle back to the bottom and hopefully, you end up with a cleaner tank of gas.

Also, don't go to a BRAND NEW gas station either. You run the risk of getting cuttings from pipes etc. Just an FYI.

This time they said it was the EGR had low voltage and was going bad and replaced it. Haven't had a chance to see if the problem comes up yet. It does it in the mornings in traffic. I will find out in the morning if they fixed it.
