Lowering the HD
Lowering the HD
Hey y'all... my 82 year old father in-law recently bought a 2003... great truck... can I put the same shackles on it as we do on the Lightnings?
I think a 2" drop in the back will make it easier for the in-laws to get in...
I think my Lightning helped push him over the edge to the HD!!

You might want to consider a 3" drop shackle in the rear. It will almost set level after that (still a tad bit higher in the rear).

I understand the HD has a two piece driveshaft and that may already compensate for the difference...
But... at 82 years of age... 2" would be fine and not look too agressive bringing even more attention at the stop lights...
Gotta admit... he's having fun and even nails once in a while letting the tires chirp.
Whatever it takes to stay young

just a FYI, the 2" belltech shackles and 3" JLP shackles are like exactly the same size. so it won't really matter which you get, you'll get roughtly the same amount of drop.
and yup, they'll work off the L
