Now thats what i call service!

Had to take my truck in for warranty work today. Just using up my warranty for every bit i can get since its up in 2-1/2 months.
Had the exhaust tips replaced since the 2nd tip was cracking and bubbling from the heat from the 1st tip, and on the bottom of the tips the chrome was burnt off.
Took him at least 10 minutes of using an air chissel and penetrating oil to get the friggin tips off

nice and chrome :drool

also had both foglights replaced because last winter i noticed whhen i washed it they both leaked condensation. it only did it once, and it was only 33* out so thats probably why, but might as well get them replaced while i still can.

My belt was also squealing when i started the truck up, and they said there was a TSB for that, and they fixed it.
Radiator cover sticker is on order since the other one fell off.

Nurf bars were supposed to get replaced, because up really really close, in direct sunlight, they look like they are dirty, but they are just barely starting to pit. talk about cheap cuz i ALWAYS keep the truck clean and zainoed, and they just called it "normal wear"
Didn't get them replaced today though, because they didn't realize the HD trucks dont' have chrome step bars, and they have special nurf bars  gotta go back next week.

Anyway, took the truck in at 7:15 and everything was done by 8:30 except one fog wasn't in yet. They said it wouldn't come in until 10:30, and so i wouldn't have to sit around and wait for it, they gave me a 02 Escort ZX2 to drive home until the truck was finished. Just thought it was pretty nice of them to give me a loaner for a few hours while they were waiting on a part for my truck. Too bad more dealers can't be more like that.

Ahhh, I hate the stealership but, it sounds like your visit went pretty well.

Might I suggest asking the service department for the shroud sticker and putting it on yourself? It'll save some headache.
