"Stripes or "No Stripes"

3 weeks ago I purchased 2003 F-150 100 Aniversary HD #4656, Black.
I love the truck but not sure about the silver stripe. What's the board think? Should I keep it or Loose it?
OK, If I loose it, What's the safest way to remove it?
This newbie appreciated all the help he can get!
Thanks again!!

I pulled the stripes off of mine the first day, and with your truck being new, the stripes should just pull off. Just leave it in the sun for a while and they will peel right off.

Stripe is what makes '03 truck absolutely unique. However, under Southern California sun they might turn ugly after years, cracking, peeling, and fading. If I were having '03 HD I would have tough choice to make. With my '02 HD choice was simple, I had dealership take them off prior to delivery.

If you decide to take them off contact Harley # 356 first, he might appreciate donation of them.

They won't be reusable when you take them off, but i'd still take them off your hands just to have for my collection of HDf150 stuff

Anyway, at Cecil yesterday there were 3 2003 HD's....all black. one had the pinstripes removed. It looked good, but looked like something was missing from the truck. Although with a KB blower soon to go on that truck, i'm sure you'd hear it before you'd ever see it coming

I vote for them to stay as well.
I have a black truck, and love the uniqueness of the stripe.
The flames on the 02's weren't for me, but the stripe is nice.
Now, you just need an HD bike to go with it and match!

Well thanks for your input! I guess I'm going to leave them on unless i change my mind and remove them (I can't decide)
Maybe if I mod my motor, they will blow off!! I'll read the other post and try to figure out what to do first!
Thankd again all
Brett
