today was a slow day at work, so i decided to do some warranty work to the truck (an 02 hd) but straight piped it instead.
it's almost too loud, but i did notice a little gain in power.
i'll be installing some flowmasters when i get some extra cash.
anyone else straight piped thiers?

 

L.V. did it from the cats back I think. I know he for sure removed the cats later and ran 3-4 tenths better. Search his post.

 

I know lucky just chopped out the mufflers and put in an X pipe in their place. Still has stock cats though. his system sounds perfect though IMO just slightly louder than stock at idle, but damn, when he guns it almost sounds like a harley bike

 

Like 356 said all I did was cut the muffler off and installed an X pipe. Sounds good to me
