Glasstite "breeze"???
Glasstite "breeze"???
ok...i looked at most all the threads i could find on tonneaus...but havent been able to find a pic of the glasstite breeze model....a dealer here in minnesota says they are gonna be one of the newest & hottest?? well he sells the ******** and ARE too.....which are spendy, but nice...he told my on the phone that the glasstite was just as good and a good bit cheaper...he said they dont stay in the showroom long....in fact he does not have one but can get it which takes 3 weeks....who has one or a pic???
I would like to see this too! I understand Glasstite is supposed to be taking all the good features of others (X2000 hinges, ARE remote lock, easy on-off, etc) and incorporating into a good looking (a la Innovation) cover called "Breeze". If you find a pic, please put it up!
I have the ARE LSII on my HD and it looks GREAT. Every time I see one on a nother F150 I think "Damn...does that look good!"

I have the ARE LSII. I don't like it. But it was pretty much the only one I could get that covered the butt ugly plastic bed rails. I hate the hump and that cheasy plastic molding around the edge. I had to add the spoiler just to hide the hump. The ******* is the nicest looking. I'd unload this in a minute if I could get a nice low profile lid without the trip etc.
boomhwr,
Thanks for the pic. Looks OK, superficially. I am more interested to learn from Glasstite what the differentiators are. Specifically, what the hinge set-up and locking mechanisms look like and how they are built. Also interested to know if they have incorporated "honeycomb" into the fiberglass lay-up, how much it weighs, ease of removal procedures, cost, availability, etc. These are all areas that Glasstite dealers are touting as enhancements/benefits over other manufacturers. I would assume this to be true since they are late to this market segment and will need to go "one-up" to gain market share. Just seems that the dealers (two) I have talked with can't get anything more from Glasstite either except the product announcement sheet! If I should find anything more, I will post it

I would like to see more details and spec as well. I have been thinking hard about getting the innovation pro-sport but everyone that buys them and has them shipped has had problems with damage and really tough time to get any help when this happens. It hard to tell from you pic if the cover has a rear lip (spoiler on it).
hey ketchnu, you coming to the cecil MD HD meet on March 22nd? if you want more info email me at harley0356@yahoo.com
anyway, if you are lookign for different tonneaus with spoilers, have you checked out fibernetics yet? if i had to get another tonneau i'd get one of those. Small spoiler molded in, yet not as big as the innovation. IMO from the rear the innovation covers look a little weird.

March 22nd. I am suppose to be up in connecticut soon, i'll have to see if I can plan my drive up on that weekend and stop by for the day. As far as the cover, I'm not sure which one I'm going to go with. Too many decisions. I really like the looks of the innovation, but no one around here sells them, so the repsonibility would be on me. I'll keep looking.
