Cool Mod Ideas for 03 Harley

Okay you have just picked up a new 03 Harley Davidson and you of course are a mod maniac what would you do to it? Your order of mods don't have to be any order just as long as you list them all. Areas to be covered are: performance, suspension, exterior asthetics, interior asthetics and of course custome projects. So "lets get geeky wit it" and lets hear your ideas.

PD

Oh yeah your budget is limitless. If we are going to get the full potential from this challenge I think this is key.

I guess I'm getting old... I just don't see the wisdom of spending a ton on these trucks--it's just not necessary. Choose your mods wisely and you will end up with a great looking, functional, bad-a** truck. K&N filter, air box mod, 6 or 8 lb lower pulley (real men run 8 lbers btw ), chip, boost bypass mod, Iridium plugs, Mobil 1, exhaust however you like it. Drop the rear with shackles--if you plan on strictly a cruiser, do the 2"-3" drop, L tails, bed cover to your taste--I really like the spoiler on the Innovation ProSport. Tint the front windows, drop a bundle on a killer stereo... a front lower grille and you're done. Now go out and harass the heck out of some f-bods and Mustangs!

Nice rwhp, do you have a traction kit of any kind to put it to the ground? Also are you running the OEM tires?
The mods listed are pretty much a complete list of the standard mods, but I listed this for fun and to see how crazy we can get here at F150online. If you have done some crazyness to your rig post the pics or tell us about it.
BTW I don't think you are getting old if you find it hard to put the cost of another truck into the one you already have....IMO.
thanks for the post

yup i'm with slingshot. these trucks are already awsome as it is, and don't need too many radical mods to make them stand out, cuz they already do. mostly all of my mods are more subtle stuff, and little details that make all the difference IMO. do too much stuff or to many mods without a central theme and it gets gaudy IMO.

goodluck though, slingshot listed most of the most popular mods, and check out the 5th link in my sig for the "ultimate mod help" gallery

I think you are missing the idea behind this post. I already have my list of mods for my 03 Harley--it is short. I have posted this to let the imaginations run wild. Hasn't anyone on this site sat back and dreamed about what they would do if they hit the lottery. I realize most of us who have, have done so with his buds out for some beers and what not. The theme behind this post is the same as "the word game". There isn't a correct or incorrect mod or idea. FOR INSTANCE: I thought of a diamond incrusted grill surround with matching door handles. Of course this dream will never come true--even if I could, but it is just for fun.

If you would like a list of my future mods you can email me

Thanks

Buy a 2003, Slap it on an F-350 4X4 chassis, add approximately 24" of lift. Add a set of custom 52" Goodyears with a custom set of 20" Harley beadlocker rims. Tear that engine out and add an alcohol blown 560cu. Take up the gear ratio to about 7.98's. Rear wheel steering. Perhaps some Chrome grill guards and Roll bars. About a dozen KC Daylighters. Pulling a trailer with a 100th anniversary V-rod, and a West Coast Chopper Diablo. And Jenna Jameson reaching over from shotgun to "check the parking brake."

Well, one can dream, can't they?

Realistically, I am 100% with slingshot. He couldn't have said it better. But if you were going all out, you could bore the engine, slap on a huge custom twin-turbo (as seen before) and completely transform the tranny. That is just dumb though and I don't really see the point of this thread.
