stay away from JDM lower pulley assembly

stay away from the JDM unit. The nut stripped clean when the mechanic tried to remove it. JDM charged $68 for a new hub and get this: $75 labor to swap it...

Get a cheaper and easier to remove version...

Not the 8lb, yet. I had a JLP 6 to replace the JDM because I was afraid it might get stuck... Somehow sue and I crossed wires and I got the wrong pulley. So... my truck was on the rack and no pulley, so I had to buy one local. I had LFP courier me one over to the shop and had that put on. It's kind of neat cause it is interchangeble but doesn't use a hub. JL was great on all of the stuff and the pulley I had was very light and very simple to install.

I'm hoping now that I can get that 9.4" lower pulley, but I don't know if I want to spend 350 for a one off...

The thing that makes me mad about JDM is that I called and they told me $40 for the hub assmebly. When I called back to complain, they said it "starts" at $40 to replace the hub. Starts at? It's a replacement! You are either replacing it or not. It's a binary decsion. There is no variability in the word replace. Then to charge an hour labor to fix a KNOWN problem with their part? That is **** poor customer service.

I have spent quite a bit of money at JDM and to screw me over for $97 bucks is truly, amazingly stupid and arrogant.

I am done with JDM. won't be buying anything from them -- period. So, going forward, don't expect to see me support anything JDM.

Since I wanted one of those intercooler heat exhangers, I will have to find out who made it for them and see if I can get one some other way. I won't give that con artist another nickel.

A-Dog, don't you work for Metco??? I can see why you think they are the best....I have two JLP pulley's, but I am sure Mark at LFP puts out a quality product, so you didn't go wrong Ken.

Hey, GT, I was commenting on his post saying it was juice, but then realized by your (motor) post that you knew that already....

I just edited it out.

Just didn't want you to think I was trashing you thread.

A-rod works at a tuner, so his opinion is somewhat biasied.
I was just going to make that clear.(Someone else noticed that too. )
Let alone the NAWZZZ.

I wonder what I would run with Slicks, 50 shot, and traction bars.

Only .27 faster ? I think Not.

JDM has had new hubs since last summer that are huge, octogon shaped so you will never strip it out. Buy whatever you like but I prefer to have the bearing support on my truck
