That's correct, I did not notice that. If I realized that I would have went over it. In that case sorry.

Johnny,
Considering all the vehicles you have built and tuned.
What is the real world limit of the stock rods.
Considering a perfect tune, perfect weather, reasonable RPM (ie~5200), no NOS.
At what point do you tell your customers that "This is enough unless you have a built botton end".
At what point will you "stop" their mods, in fear of KNOWING that they are pushing the limit.
Please tell us.
Vince

to JL,

Thank you so much for putting this issue to rest. So the summary is, for those of you keeping score, the only real difference between the two motors is the pulley size.

Can you give any insight as to the differences in the stock computer tune? I know the L and HD have different part #s for the computer. Is there really a difference in the stock tune, or is that all myth too...

That's exactly the reason why I was all this time asking for reputable tuners to chip in. If anybody knows (beside guys in charge of design of manufacturing at Ford) its the guys that have seen innards of both often enough.

Thank you one more time!

I love this country...I love my motorcycle....I love my 02 HD F150 and I love this site and the threads like this one....with a multitude of opnions. Freedom is what is the common thread in all that I just listed.

I see many threads on here....many opnions....and many mods that I don't necessarily agree with, like or condone but if that's how somebody else feels about an issue then more power to em...I can respect a difference in somebody else's opnion or likes. Live and let live! I don't try to put my thoughts, ideas or opnions on any body else and don't want anybody putting there's on me. If you say or do something that I don't like....I don't have to like that....I'll still give you your room for your opnion or action....just allow me mine. Freedom....I learned it in the Corps (Marines) in the early 70's.....find out what it means. If people practiced this, the above would never have been an issue or concern.

I'll end this by asking "do you believe in freedom....do you believe in live and let live?"

Have a great day all!
