Just ordered a Magna Flow exhaust system. Going with high flow cats, x-pipe, muffler and piping to exit behind the rear tire as my current system is.
Just wondering who has changed their exhaust and what you went with and your likes and dislikes of it.
My current stock system has a drone in the cab and hope it goes away with this setup. Does anyone else have this drone as mine does?

From what I have read, you are going to love the high flow cats for one thing: POWER...

The HALO guys have done some research and found that to be the single biggest contributor to increases in HP from a full exhaust system.

Their conclusions were interesting. To save money, keep the stock manifold and stock cat back and just put in high flow cats and you will get almost every HP you would with a full exhaust system...

ECM747x, is this the new catback exhaust from Magnaflow? I called Magnaflow on Monday and the system had still not been released? Are you just building your own? Thanks...

Outnumered on this site went with the JDM full exhaust, JDM/Kooks hedders, cats and JDM Silver Bullet catback.

2veloce, on Fordtruckworld.com, went with the new Bassani Catback that exits like the Lightnings. I went for a ride in his truck and it is quiet at idle and part throttle, but a bit louder at WOT than the stock exhaust. Do a search on Bassani at Fordtruckworld.com in the Harley forum for details.

 

ive got high flow cats, custom x-pipe and two magnaflow mufflers - i had flowmaster 40 series before and liked the sound, but they were too loud for highway driving - so we threw the magnaflows on and they "pop" too much for my liking. I order two 50 series stainless steel flowmasters which should be quieter and still have the sound i am looking for. there are pics in my gallery if you want to check it out.

What type of magnaflows did you put on? They look like 5x8 SI/SO with offset.

 

Not legal in most states, but Lucky took off his muffler, and had an X pipe welded in place. I heard his truck in person at the mikes famous meet back in october last year, and at idle, the truck sounds just barely above stock, but when he hit it... DAMN!!! it sounds mean as *****!!! its the most HD sounding HD truck i've heard yet. haven't heard the bassani yet in person, but the x pipe and no mufflers sounds pretty damn sweet IMO, and a cheaper alternative to the bassani, and it had all of us at the mikes meet drooling over it and crawing underneath to check it out

I ordered the exhaust parts from Mike T, performance products. I am getting all the piping but will have to have it bent for exit out the rear of the tire. I will also, more than likely, have to have the hangar mounts welded on as well. Should be getting it tomorrow or Friday. Will have it installed on Monday and let you all know how it turned out........I will attempt to take pics of it and post as well.
I haven't heard if anyone else has experienced the drone in their cab with the stock exhaust as I have on my HD.
