Windshield wipers....

I know it does not sound like an interesting topic, but everyone who reads this can provide me with a valuable opinion.
I recently filled up my winshield wiper fluid, (completely filled less than one week ago), and it is bone dry now. I noticed today while driving that it just kept squirting out fluid even when I was not using the wipers or the squirt part. And once it empties the tank, it starts making a very loud whining noise like it is looking for fluid to pump but cant find it.

Anyone had/has this problem know of a way to fix it?
I am very disappointed something like this appears so early in the trucks life, 02 HD with >2000 miles on it.

P.S.- If there are any other reasons for this occurence please let me know, thanks.

Sounds like your pump is not working properly. I would take it in for service right away.
