Unhappy Windshield warning

Bummer yo. I have a cracked windshield already What a hassle making sure I get the right replacement. Farmers Insurance uses Safe Light (or Lite?) for glass replacement. If you are not carefull they will try to slip past a standard piece of glass with out the Harley logos. After pricing the winshield with my local dealer, I can see why. $816 for a HD winshield vs $276 for a standard F-150. Yikes Anyway, I just sent Safe Light packing with instructions not to come back until they have the correct windshield. Be forwarned friends.

Ouch! Atleast it will be an authentic windshield when all is said and done.

In Calif. you have a right to take your vehicle wherever you want to, regardless of what the insurance company says....take it to Ford.

Century 21 insurance requires OEM on all the parts their replacing and they're far cheaper (they also cover anybody who drives your vehicle as long as they're licensed). Might want to geive them a call.

Thumbs up

State Farm replaced mine with an authentic HD F-150 windshield for only a $100 deductible. I don't know how much it cost them.

All is cool once again. Farmers (Safe Lite) showed up this time with the correct windshield. $100 deductable.

Palumbon, I don't know about other years but the 02's have Founded 1903 Ford and Harley logos in the center at the bottom edge. There are literally thousands of tiny HD logos across the top and bottom to form shaded areas.
