Protective products
Has anybody ever used Glisten PC? I don't think I'd ever put it on my rims or any other chrome part but I am curious.

I was looking through the exhibitor list for the LA Auto show (finally going tomorrow) and saw this, which seems really hokey to me:

coudln't find much on their site, but i'm assuming its a clear bra? personally i think they are a rip off cuz they cost so much for some clear film, and then you need to get it professionally installed if you want it to look "invisible" but you'll still see a seam where the film stops, and it can look like the truck was keyed when its really the seam, especially on black.
i say you are bettter off spending alot less and just getting a regular traditional style bra from reggy and just using it for when you go on trips or long highway drives when you'd have to worry about rock chips and such
Not sure about the 1st stuff you posted. i definately wouldn't want to be the 1st to try it. You still have to wash your rims anyway, i don't see the big deal of waxing or polishing or zainoing them once a month to keep them looking just as protected and better looking that that clear coat type stuff

Sorry about the bad link.
I went to their booth today to check it out. It's basically this film applies to various parts of the car pretty much like someone tints a window.
It seems like throwing money away to me. The people weren't very responsive to questions at all. I was curious about washing/waxing of vehicle after the Star Shield application.
Never did get this question answered.
As for the Glisten PC stuff, I might try it on another vehicle to see, but it's $45 for a quart and $155 for a gallon. I received their catalog this week and it also says it can be used on wheels, chrome, lights and other things. I might be interested in covering the headlights, but not at those prices.
