Low Beams Blew Out

I got into my truck after work yesterday, turned on my headlights and I had no lights.
The parking lights & fog lights worked. I checked the fuse panel & also the fuse box under the hood. Everything looked fine. The headlights worked fine in the morning. I
Have Piaa Super White Bulbs & a fog light switch tapped into my parking lights. When I got home I got out my shop service manual & test light. The manual said it could be a
defective switch, fuses, or circuit wiring. I checked the fuses again with my test light and they looked good. Then I pulled out the plug to the bulb and sure enough I was getting power to the lights. How do both bulbs blow out at the same time? I was thinking of switching to the Sylvania Silver Star Bulbs. Will this happen again?

You might want to try the sylvania silverstars. I have heard nothing but good news about them. Although you can only get sylvania for the headlamps it might be the route to go instead of spending $500 on a true HID set-up. Someone is selling a pair for $41 plus $10 rebate plus shipping. Sounds like a good deal to me. Here is the link.....

I fuses are good, wiring is good all the way the bulb connector, and you as you said yo get power all the way to the connector.

Then either the bulbs are not suited for your application or they got banged around during install. Check the filaments on the bulb itself.

I have my 9007 ST at home I just need to install them. I bought them over the PIAA's Super White and Extreme White since I did not trust what PIAA's claims. That it's a 55W bulb putting out brightness of a 110W bulb, it just didn't make sense to me.

Also...be careful NOT to touch the bulbs before installing or during installation. The oil on your fingers can shorten the life-span of the bulbs to weeks. So be very careful. If you happen to accidentally touch them...use rubbing alcohol and a soft clothe to clean the bulbs. Good luck!
