Question Truck is back but.....

Hi all,
Happy New Year. I have tried to stay away from this site because i was so depressed about what happened to my truck again. But today i got it back and i am a little dissapointed with something. Maybee you guys can help. The bottom driver side leather seat cover had to be replaced because the a$$holes that broke into the truck put their knee on the seat with the broken glass there and put slits in it. The new seat cover is dull, wrinkly and off color. I dont know what to do to fix it. I assume that the wrinkles will go away (sorta like wrinkles on a tonnau cover when you first put it on) but doesnt leather stretch not tighten up? Will Ford do anything about this? Any suggestions are welcome. I will post some pics tomorrow when there is sunlight.
In case you forgot... Here is the link...Original Post With Pics

Glad to hear everything's fixed again.
as for the seat, when i had my lower seat cover replaced, it was a pretty big difference in color, because the seat back that wasn't replaced was darker in color from the leather conditioner and stuff.

its hard to tell in the pics cuz the camera doesn't show the difference, but you can sort of see the color difference between the new bottom and old back

I just gave it a coat of leather conditioner and it looked almost identical to the seat back colorwise. Still was slightly off, but after a few months and a few conditionings it matches perfect now. again, hard to tell anything in the pics, but it might be worth a try for ya

as for the wrinkles and being loose, mine was a little wrinkly, like it was crumpled up in the box from shipping, but after a few rides the wrinkles were gone, but mine wasn't really loose. if you aren't happy, maybe take it back then?

anyway, glad to see you're back and your trucks fixed again

Did you replace all the stereo equipment? How did your insurance company handle it?

I did not replace the stereo equipment as of yet. I am still deciding whether i want to put the same unit in or just an mp3 head unit. Yes the seat cover is a Ford OEM part. The insurance company did cover the stereo without me having a rider on the policy. It was bolted into the vehicle and because of that it was covered.

Good to hear that you have your truck back Harley2001NJ. It still sickens me when I remember what they stole and what they did damaged in the process.

What insurance company did you have? It's really good to hear that they are covering the cost of replacement. Did you just tell them what got stolen? Normally, aftermarket electronics must be added to your policy to be covered, hence an increase in your premium.
