Very sorry to hear your news, very pleased that your OK, one thing, PLEASE make sure that it goes to a very good repair shop. I have been in the vehicle repair game for more than 20 years and I have lost count of the number of people that were not happy with either the repair or in the way that it drove after ie does not drive the same a squeek or rattle where there was not one before so go carefull don't just see the $ signs. As for salvage yes it's a good option but it sounds like a repair

Cool good luck

I feel a little of your pain.. the week before thanksgiving I got rear-ended on the freeway by a lady in a dodge pickup.. I came out of my HD screaming, and calling her a few choice names.. (Ok, so my halo slipped )

She tried to leave, saying there wasn't any damage. I just stood there looking at my bumper with the very large scrapes all over the top of it and couldn't believe she said that.. Well, turned out she didn't have insurance - it wasn't her truck... I finally intimidated her enough to get her to call the owner (her ex-husband) to get the insurance info.. So, a month later - I have a pretty new bumper and all is well. Thankfully I was far enough away from the person in front of me so she didn't push me into his car - otherwise I probably wouldn't have been so nice

Good luck - my friend's truck was hit in about the same place yours was, not quite as bad.. but her's was fixed and you'd never know it was hit and she hasn't had any problems with the truck since (plus, the paint job is better!)

Sorry to hear about that but glad you are okay for the most part. Hopefully the frame is not too bad. Since it is a body on frame vehicle, fixing it is not that difficult and should be good if you have a good body shop. If the frame is way out of whack then it could be totaled or aligned.

Good Luck!!
