top of the heap?
Well I ran into the guy (John) with the "built" Mustang GT that I so shamelessly destroyed when my truck had only 700 miles on it. We sat and talked for a long time. He is a very nice and knowledgable person. It seems he and a deer had an arguement....deer won. So his 'stang is down for awhile. I was however, surprised to find out that he was the fastest Mustang in town and had never been beaten before. He did tell me that there is a guy in the area that has a Ford F150 that has a "Lightning" engine in it. (He has never raced him) I'm not sure what that means. He did tell me that that is the only guy he thought that might be able to beat my truck. He also said that when he puts his car back together, he was going to get back to the top of the heap. It seems that as of now, for the time being, I am the fastest (or at least very close) in town. (street legal) Yes, I live in a small town and there is one other HD F150 in town but his is NOT supercharged. There is one HD on order at the Ford dealer but it's not in yet so there is still hope that I will have some competition.
That is until I do some mods.
There is a new Pontiac Firebird "Ram Air" for sale at the Pontiac dealer that is said to be pretty fast according to the dealer. There is also a Cobra in town that hasn't been seen for awhile that my friend John said that he HAS NOT raced. I know he'd kick my butt! But I think he moved.
BTW...i love this truck!
