gauge cluster

I have a 00' F150
The mph's on the gauge cluster reads 0-100
when the needle hits 100 the truck tops off.
I know the truck tops off at 100mph.

I wanted to switch my cluster with one from a 02' HD
(looks way better than my current one).

So here's my question. The mph on the 02' HD gauge cluster reads 0-140.

The 140 on the HD is in the same postion as the 100 on my truck
so since my truck tops off at 100mph will the needle on the HD cluster stop at 100 or go all the way to 140 since 140 is in the same place as 100 on the truck now.

(Would be cool to make people think the truck tops off at 140 when really its 100)

Almost forgot to ask. What needs to be done so the needle on the new cluster reads my speed correctly. Don't really want it reading that I'm going 90mph when in reality I'm going 50mph

The needle will not stop at 100, it will go on, on a 140 gauge.
Not sure about making sure the needle is pointing to the right speed though.

i'm pretty sure it will reset your odometer though cuz it'll be a whole new unit, and you'll have to get the mileage typed in again at the dealer or something. a guy at the other site was trying to figure this out before, and he finally did the swap.not sure all the details on it though
