I like the concept. Again the concept.

Brembo brakes, IRS, new technology for the Supercooler, these are ALL VERY NICE. I'm just a little afraid of what the price would be if they actually produce them with concept specs. I have a feeling it will be scaled down a little.

yeah, no doubt it'll definately be scaled down, but even if you take off the 22's, get rid of that baby crap yellow interior, maybe no ram air and some of that extra stuff, its still a good looking truck. there's still hope
i'd say the price will be at least 35K, but who knows
doug said that it isn't a 04 Lightning, its only their concept for a 05 or 06 L.

i think i'll be ready for a L in 2010, so hopefully the tail end of that model series

Thumbs down

It looks like I am in the minority so far. I don't like the truck at all. I don't like the latest generation of Expedition or the Explorer and the new F150 looks like the Expedition/Explorer...but that was a given. I have always liked the body changes in the Ford trucks since the late 60's. This one does not make me feel like running down and getting one on order. I can't pick out anything in particular that I don't like. It seems to be the whole package.

I hope that it looks better in person but I have my doubts. I didn't care for the 2 tone '03 HD pictures and now that I have looked at the truck up close, I am still not happy with it.

As they say.... "Ya can't please everybody".... I am proof of that, I guess.

I am not sure if I am the only one who see this but I think it looks a little like the new Range Rover. Mind you I think both are awesome vehicles and that ford has made a great platform to start there redesign from.

Angry SVT STOLE MY IDEA!!!

From the posted article:

Ford's patented SuperCooler technology cleverly provides a special burst of power for the SVT Lightning concept. Traditional intercoolers dissipate heat from the supercharged air by circulating coolant through a front-mounted, air-cooled radiator. With the SuperCooler system, the vehicle's air conditioning system is used to chill a small storage tank of coolant to about 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
I was asking about using the AC system for super cooling a long time ago (6 months maybe).

Okay maybe they didn't copy me, but I did think of it before they released it. I really need to get my ideas pattented.

*EDIT I just tried to search the Computer chips forum (Where I had discussed the using the ac compressor to supercool the incoming air) and I could not find anything. When do they erase the old threads?
