Well, I just got my lower grille for my 2002 HD from razorsEdge, and I am having a little trouble. I have only had the truck about a week and it still has the license plate frame on the front. I Dont really wanna tear anything up already, so whats the easiest way to get this **** on? I think i am trying to make it way harder than it is, but geez...

 

I don't know about the lower grill but, yes it is a pain in the @ss getting the licence off.

I had a small wrench and about an hour into it. I don't know of any easier way.

 

Yep! ... no easy shortcuts! Just a PITA!

 

I know that on my '01, i had to unbolt the #$%@* thing, a real PITA. On my new '03, it is held on with plastic pins that come off real easy with a pair of wire cutters. For once, something made easier

 

you could cut the tabs off and loosen the bolts and spin the tabs around backwards so you don't see them, but thats just a quick way to do it. taking it out the right way looks alot nicer, plus if you get ticketed for it, you can put it back on.

also if you were planning on reinstalling the j-jent lower grille with the license plate bracket, unbolting it and bolting it back on is the only way to do it
