Flamezzzzzzzzzzzzz!

hmm....new mod maybe?
LoL, i wish! these are a few pics of Ron Gibbs (canadian rat fink's) work. I wish i lived closer to ontario. LoL

awsome 00HD. don't like his different bumper cover or big rig window visor, but love the flames and mirrors!!!

the flames are like chameleon too!

I'm really picky when it comes to flames, cuz most of them that i see i dont like cuz they are too bubbly, or too thick, or unsymmetrical, but i love his old style traditional long flowing flames!

*edit* not sure why the other pics aren't working, so just click on the links

That is some incredible work. It reminds me of the older hot rods from the 50's. I wonder how much a paint job like that would cost?

Cost

I worked in a few body shops while going through college...for a flame job of that quality, laid over of your existing paint job, you would be talking ~$2000-4000 depending on the given shop and the history ie. reputation it has.

But those are BEAUTIFUL

ron has an awsome reputation from what i've heard! did you see how detailed some of his artwork on the mural's he's done? especially that underwater scene on the blue truck's tailgate? not my taste, but it looked awsome and a ton of details

oh if i only had the money

I dont like talking about future mods. But ive been in talks with ron for a while. I might be dropping my truck off very soon if things work out for me. I cant wait.

Not only is ron an amazing artist.....but I consider him a very good friend. So its natural for me to have him work on my truck! Im so psyched.

Here comes a dumb *** question for ya the flames on the underside of the hood are they on the 00 coz they are sharp and talk about time consuming if they are I would expect to pay the upper part of what 66_F-100 said if not more, lotsa work

Same effect, colors and all, I'm going to do on my FXDX soon as the weather breaks.(No heat in the monster garage yet!) I've got the new factory sheetmetal, equipment and where-with-all to pull it off. Once it's done, I'll post the pics along with the two other projects that lay in wait... Repaint of a cherry 18,000 mile original 440, 6 pack, 4 spd. '70 Cuda(Sub-Lime) and my sweet 350/350, 4 spd. '70 Nova(Black). I can't wait 'til spring!
