2002 Rear Seat

Hello fellow HD F-150 enthusiast,
I am still on the lookout for one 2002 HD rear seat. I just missed a whole set on e-bay a couple of weeks ago. Either side would work fine. Please let me know if you run into a seat or know of a yard which may have a (unfortunately) wrecked 2002 for parts.
Take care and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Bart
In case you were wondering, I want to make a five seater out of my HD F-150.

blueflameddude from the other site did that on his 01. he got a regular bucket though and had it cut down and reupholstered.

anyway, did anybody ever get that dodge middle seat with the sub in it to work? there were a few guys that were going to attempt it, but haven't heard anything since

That would be 4WL HOGG. Haven't heard about the rear seat from him yet.

I have been out of the office a lot lately so when I do login here, it is mostly for reading.

I did get my JL stealth sub in the dodge seat (although it was over a month late!) The fit is perfect. It is a fiberglass enclosure with the sub firing down (exposed). Right now it is black, with a little bit of padding.

I want to take some pictures but I am so busy, I don't have time to clean my truck adequately to post any pics here.

Right now I am looking for the rest of the dodge seat (the top console part) The sub seat is set up to completely replace the center seat in the dodge ram, so it will accept the flip down console/seat back. I should probably go to a dealer and price out the ram seat. I plan on upholstering it to match the seats as closely as possible.

I will have to figure out the mounting brackets as well. The box comes with 4 threaded holes for mounting. I want to make it heavy duty because people will be sitting on it.

Ideas

I just got back from the San Diego Auto Show and while there realized that our rear seats are actually just the two 40's of the standard Super Crew 60/40 split rear seat! Of course we have the leather and badging. I just purchased a F-250 Super Duty middle front console seat with the two cup holders on top of the fold down console. I just e-mailed Fordpartsonline.com to get the pricing on the leather for the HD seats, if you know of any other source for reasonable OEM parts pricing pleas let me know.
Thanks,
Bart

are you sure?

*edit* never mind, the pic i had was of a 01 screw rear seat and it was totally different, here's the 02 rear bench seat

so all new 02 and up screws have headrests in the back? i didn't realize that.

anyway, what would you try and do then? get a regular seat out of a screw, and get it reupholstered to match the other 2?
if so then what would the F-250 Super Duty middle front console seat with the two cup holders on top of the fold down console do?

just curious

Coumer,

I have the whole back set (seats, console, molding - plastic behind seats) for an '02. Am only going to sell it as a set though. If you are interested, ping my e-mail.

Coumer--Let's split them, you take one--I take one and we split the cost (provided they are not too high). How about it?

Question math problem

Ok, maybe I read it wrong, but if the rear seats on an '02 are the 40% side of a 60/40 you might have a problem. 40% + 40% + 40% = 120% How are you going to get all them in the space allowed?

LeeRandall,
I am extremely interested in the entire package for the seats and console. I sent you an e-mail but am not sure if you received it? Please contact me directly at Blkbartolo@aol.com. Slingshot I'll fill you in on the details when I have some. Fepony it looks as though the seats technically should be called 33 1/3 - 66 2/3 split, as I have measured and the fit will be very nice!
Thanks,
Bart

how are you guys going to mount the seat, cut out the reat panel so the seat fits flush with the outer seats or mount if a little forward? also, do they make a black molded carpet that does not have the cut-out under the center console?

2002 Harley,
I have had the console removed from my truck for months. I currently have a nice Black Harley blanket folded up lying between the seats I plan to remove the sheet metal bracketry for the console mounting and the only other problem you encounter is the bulge on the rear plastic panel behind the console. The regular Super Crews with the 60/40 seats do not have the bulge in the rear plastic trim piece. I will most likely shave the bulge out and place a black carpet liner across the lower portion of the rear panel. As for the area below the seat, I'll have my upholster cut out a little piece for me.
Thanks,
Bart

bart,

that's a pretty good idea! i guess with a little custom work i might have to look into it again. so basically another stock rear seat will fit between the seats and if i cut-out that buldge in the rear plastic, using the stock seat brackets, it will fit? do you see any problem with mounting seatbealts? it so, who wants to split the cost of a set of rear seats? i'm in, find me a seat!
thanks!

Thumbs up sorry

Well since I am single, have no kids left at home and NO one has ever been in the back seats (yes virgin) I see no reason to do this...but I hope it works out well for you guy! Good luck!
