Wink 2002-2003 (long)

well, i'm just bored right now, so i thought i'd start a new thread to end 2002 with and bring in 2003.
Just wanted to say its been a great year, even though it flew by. I've made a ton of new friends on here, and recieved lots of help and info from everybody. I appreciate all the help and favors everybody's done for me, and just wanted to say thanks again!

Even though i've had my truck for 2 1/2 years already, just in this past year its come leaps and bounds, especially in these last few months. From only a few cheap mods like head/tail blackouts, bugguard, and ventvisors back in 01, to ram air hood, custom hood inserts, rear drop, intake, neon, tonneau inserts, sub, 02 HD headlights, 02 L taillights and 3rd brakelight, coolflex radiator hose, 03HD chrome tiedowns, zaino, all the way down to the awsome HDf150 mats. LoL.

And just a before and after pic to really see the diffference
Looks like a whole different truck now, and its thanks to everybody's ideas, suggestions, mods, and info that i've gotten this far.

2001

2002

I can't wait to see what 2003 will have in store for all of us!

Might as well mention a few people while i'm at it. I wasn't gonna mention names or whatever cuz i figured i'd leave somebody out, but ive got nothing much else to do for right now, so if i forgot to mention you, just post it up or drop me an email, more than likely i should have remembered to post your name on here. i'm sorry if i forgot ya out, but there's just so many people its hard to remember everybody
in no particular order

Showya- thanks for all your awsome info and keeping us updated on the 03HD's. anybody thats a member of the other site also knows what i'm talking about. Thanks for all the shirts and other stuff too!

Clonetek-thanks again for all the help and putting up with all my questions. LoL. also for finding the HD and L models for me

Rockpick-you're a trip man. you keep things interesting when it gets boring. LoL. keep it up

Intel- thanks for all that awsome info in the general care forum, and all the help and answers you've helped me out with!

Ricekicker- you're a good friend and its cool to know somebody that i have alot in common with, mostly HD trucks and since we are both the younger ones in this crowd

Db682- even though you probably wont' see this cuz you don't post often any more, but i loved your posts. always got a kick out of em.

FXDX- thanks for the compliments about my truck in that thread a few months ago. it still means alot to me. can't wait to see pics of your truck and garage

Cobrasvt- it was cool to meet up with ya at atco and Etown. seems i was only one of the few who believe ya back when you were running low 13's, and in a few months you'll be in the 11's. can't wait to see that in person.

Ken800 and Aryton- looks like you guys are gonna be the boyd brothers with the new rims on the dsg and black 02 HD's. LoL. can't wait to see how your trucks are gonna look when finished. they'll definately be unique

billp- you keep me in check. if you spot some dirt on my truck in a pic, you let me know. LoL. thanks for putting some humor in the forums, it needs it sometime. o yeah, the you know what should be getting here soon. i'll email ya when it does

1JT- thanks for the TTTT2 stuff and all the pics! made a nice addition to my collection of stuff

RobG- i look up to you man. you had an AWSOME lightning, get in an accident, and the very next day back at the dealership to order a 03L and already had a bunch of mods waiting to go on, and then you step up one more notch and get a HD. I don't think i'd be able to get over it that quick if the hootersmobile was my truck. LoL. I'm glad i got to see it in person once though when it was still around. I cant wait to see what you do with the HD, and can't wait to see what my truck looks like when you finish my parts. No rush on that stuff though, no shows to go to for a long while. Thanks again rob!

Baddene- i told ya i'd get the cervini's hood before you would. LoL! But a big thanks again for the clarion sub, and also for sending me the info for the headlights and keeping it on the DL. that true blue L is lookin awsome!

Hemiuk- you've been a pal, and thanks for the keychain and going to the trouble from sending it all the way from over in england. good luck with putting the new emblems on and the build # hunt

joeeyo- its simple as this...if it wasn't for meeting you at pitman show, i probably wouldn't be using zaino yet. thanks for getting me addicted on it. LoL

daveenders- talk about a rough start on the website. its good though that you stuck through all the flames and everything and didn't just leave. you've got a nice truck, and lots of valuable info to share with everybody

HD2NV8- your truck is like my trucks big brother. alot of the same mods, except after you get your engine done, it'll be more like david and goliath, but still alot of the same appearance mods. LoL. You've got an awsome HD, and goodluck with the engine work

Newbies- too many of you to list, and i can't remember many of your names cuz you haven't been around very long, but i'm sure in this upcoming year we'll become more familiar

Jerzey- can't say thanks enough for doing the whole HD registry for us!

Outnumbered- you've got one of my favorite 02HD's, and it keeps getting bettter. keep it up, and thanks again for the drop shackles

Chester- thanks for taking all those awsome pics! You've got some of the best taken ones on the site so far IMO, and every time i see one of your pics, i still try to get a pic of my truck thats better, but still can't get there. LoL

of course a big thanks to steve the webmaster for doing this whole site! without him and this site, i don't know what i'd do with myself. LoL. i'd be bored out of my mind, or maybe i'd actually have a life. LoL

blwnhd#34- i think you were the 1st on here with a 02HD, and wasted no time with the mods. Thanks again for the info on the jjent custom billet hood inserts for the cervini's hood.

vaporlock- thanks again for those custom stickers, they were awsome! we'll have to meet up this summer when i'm in SC and goin cruisin down the strip

also, rather then list them all, a big thanks to everybody that came to the HDFOG meet at mikes famous. Alot of people were no shows, but you guys stuck it out and came even though it was raining in the morning and looked to be a horrible day for a meet, but it turned out to be awsome! thanks for not making me look like a total idiot to the guys at mikes famous after i told them 15-20 guys were saying they would definately be there, and hardly anybody shows up

and just a few more names that i'll put in here, but can't think of anything to type off the top of my head, but its worth mentioning:
Roushfan1, Factory_Tech, Ketchnu, Keeper, Canscrew, Jonrauch, GT40GTS, rhdf150, 4wlhogg, mschon, badtothebone (gary), abullerm, zinczag, zoran, rick c, silverlightning (fred) JCZ, Blake Bowden, Spanky99L, RobSMST, HawgGawd, Harley2001nj, dermastro, droptop, harley guy, and anybody else i forgot

o yeah, incase anybody's wondering, i didn't think up all these names and spend an hour typing this post. LoL. I just simply copied the names out of my User CP "buddylist" since they were all already in there and put them in this post. LoL.

although this is the longest post i think i've ever written. LoL. but it still only took me 10 minutes. LoL

well, i'll end this rambling...happy newyear!

drive safely tonight!

I should be out partying up New Years and all but I decided to stay at the shop and work on the new truck. I have to finish sanding some parts too ( Josh ). I think I'll be stocking up on tailgate handles soon.

I was a happy owner of two Lightning's, a '99 and a '00, and I thought those were the baddest trucks on the road. I was wrong.
The new '03 H-D truck is f**king unbelivable. The paint, interior and fit and finish is far superior to the Lightning. I guess the guys in Kansas City take more pride in their work than those silly Canadian's

Anyway, I look forward to 2003 and all the modding that will commence

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY AND HAPPY TRUCKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just busy buffing out the little scratches out of it. First thing that's getting done is a port matched upper so I can bolt up the billet throttle body then a trip to the chrome plating shop to drop off some knick knacks

Happy New Year dude

i wished i lived by you rob so i could pay you to buff my truck and get any little scratches out for me, cuz i've never used a buffer and have no idea how to, so don't want to screw anything up. LoL

you wouldn't happen to be getting that Harley-Davidson Billet throttle body that was on jdm's site a few months ago would you?

Nope, but I can get one engraved with just about anything you want. What do you think of a black anodized throttle body ???

that would look awsome. match the black blower nicely

i'm guessing you'll also be getting the black anodized rear end cover from them also?

whens the next time you'll be down at atco or etown?

o yeah, do you know when any of the tracks open up again? (cecil, atco or etown)? crockett and i are trying to organize a east coast spring HD meet at one of the tracks. i was thinking atco would be the best out of the 3. think you'd be able to make it? it'll probably be in april sometime
