Question L 3rd Taillight Install

I'm sure that there is a thread for finding info on installing the L 3rd taillight, but I haven't found it. My main concern is how to get the headliner down to connect the wires inside the truck. Thanks for the help & Happy New Year!

its really easy. just look at your headliner towards the back seats. there are 2 little push clips. just pull both of those out, they come out pretty easy, then unscrew the stock brakelight, pull it out, then you have to pull the headliner down and reach in and try to undo the plastic snap in bracket that holds the connection piece in there. i couldn't reach in far enough, so i had to use a long screwdriver to pop it out. then just pull more wiring out, unplug the old and plug in the new and just push the wires back in there. you don't have to reattach that bracket. you'll see what i mean when you go to do it.

its alot easier if you don't have a tonneau cover. i had one so it made it a little more tricky. i had to sit in the middle back seat and squeeze 1/2 way out the rear slider to reach in the back of the headliner. that was fun getting through there. LoL
although, if you have a solid rear window, you'll probably have to remove the entire headliner, which would be a BIG PITA

good luck, hope this helps

its definately worth the hassle. its looks alot smoother and that LED is BRIGHT!!!
