Question Badges... what stinkin badges?

I am looking at a possible good deal on 3-piece set of Crown Vic "Police Interceptor" trunk lid emblems.

A few questions:

1. Anybody has / had them on their trucks?
2. Will there be anything that I need to worry about when the po-po sees them?
3. Is $12.00 for a 3-piece deal a good price?
Edit: I'm asking this since my local dealer is closed, and can't call them for alternative pricing.

Thanks!

ChesterC where do you plan on mounting them? Are you going to use all three? If not, I'd be interested in one...I'll drive over there. Let me know.

thats a good deal, and i doubt the police would say anything about them.

but what are you planning on putting them on? your HD? i say if you do put them on your truck, only do the tailgate, and then maybe one under the hood or soemthing. i don't think it'll look that great under the side fender emblems. some "supercharged" or "blown" emblems would be cooler

post pics if you do them, would be interesting to see

I'm planning to put them under the HD emblem on the tailgate. Another possibility is under the hood, or inside the truck.

I want them to add HP, j/k. More like get the intimidation factor up another notch!

Everytime (almost) a new person moves in my apartment complex they check out my truck. My truck is parked across the mailboxes for the building. They always spend like close to 3 minutes just going around it and peeking through the window. It will keep them wondering....

The tailgate is what i was thinking, too....in place of the blue oval (ford) emblem.

I don't think the police can do anything about it, since it came of a car that was eventually available to the public. I'd do it. Let me know if you want to get rid of one.

JCZ,

I'll let you know if the emblems are on their way. I am working out the details with the seller.

The airbox is a perfect place to put it. Imagine the expression on the techs face when you bring it in the dealership

how's that gonna work? the ford emblem is recessed in the tailgate. you'd have a big gap at the top and bottom if you did that, you'd have to put it below the emblems if you did it.

i'm not about adding any more emblems then there already is, especially if they are just false advertising ones, but it might look aight.

My custom badge overlays should be getting shipped soon from vaporlock. can't wait to get them, they're gonna look awsome!
and most likely be a one off set, or at least a rare set

Go for it!!

As the duty sheriff here, go ahead and put them on your ride. They can be bought on several websites, mostly for guys restoring old cop cars. They also make dash plates for the police versions.

This website has all kinds of goodies:
