my bassani is on...

exits in FRONT of the rear wheel. I wanted to go this route to keep melted rubber from ending up on the nice shiny tips when I do burnouts. It will also keep mud from being slung onto them.

It is louder than stock in all areas. At idle, it is a deep rumble, but barely louder than stock. At slight throttle it is a little louder... At mid throttle is is noticeably louder and at WOT, it frightens small children and causes old people to go into cardiac arrest...

The drone on the highway is a bit more than stock but not intolerable...

If you want mean sound that is not any louder than stock, you might be a little surprised... If a little more noise than stock at idle and partial is ok with you then go bassani. Again, at WOT, it is LOUD.

I'll try to get some recordings in the next week or two.

Bottom line is the thing sounds mean as *****.

Ken

I am glad to hear that you have installed yours. My cat back system is on the way and I can't wait to get it installed. I know what you are talking about regarding the sound. I put a bassani on my cobra and was very pleased with the sound and performance.

Hey Ken,
Where did you get your setup and what all did you have installed?

Got it from LFP. He called me and said his came in way earlier than expected and he saved one for me. In order not to violate vendor rules, you will have to contact him. It was cheaper (not by much though) than the cheapest price I have seen on the Lightning version...

I will work on the video and audio clips. A friend of mine has a digital camera and I will borrow him.

I'll do an idle, rev up, drive by at partial throttle and a WOT pass by and have it posted. Be careful when you listen. You might lose your load.

BTW, all I got was the Cat-back. Considering full system, but not for a while. There are two sets of clamps on the factory system. Climb under there and see... One set is just forward of the muffler and the other set is about 2 feet forward of that. I took it to Mikes Muffler and they had to cut the stock unit out but I made him use heat, muscle, and time, to get it seperated at the forward position. So.... it is bolted on and can be "removed" to fit up high flow cats/headers if I get the itch. I probably won't, though, cause I have heard on many occasions that headers A)make it even louder and B) require occasional inspection to be sure no leakage or loosening of bolts has occured.

I live in cypress texas which is out in the woods and VERY quiet . I took off from a 4 way stop sign at WOT and ran it up to about 70. Lets just say there were a lot of people out there in the woods that probably wondered WTF?!?!? lol...

The supercharger whine and bassani compete for ear-drum time in a nice baritone/soprano duet.

Mark has been very cool for me. I have one on order, but really wont need it right away, due to what is going on with the truck.

I would definitely give Mark a call.

Now that's what the stock muffler should have been . Raise the hairs on the back of your neck and leave an impression on people they will always remember, the truck has the ***** to back it up anyway!

Cool Bassani for your HD

My first shipment came in way early. A big surprise for Bassani. I started shipping Christmas Eve. I have 2 kits left and another 10 on the way. You won't be disappointed. I am a supporting vendor on F150online and have a very special introductory offer. Contact me for a quote. I will be shipping tomorrow but UPS will be closed Tues./Wed.
My webmaster is on vacation so you won't find the kit or the special price on my website. All orders for this kit will temp. be taken over the phone.

I am so excited the Bassani system was installed today. Nothing spectacular about the numbers difference (they are good though) the sound is absolutely fantastic. Higgins Ford Performance in Douglasville, GA did the install and dyno runs - two before and two after the installation. The temperature was about 45 degrees and chilly for Atlanta weather. I will put pictures of the install and the dyno runs in my album later. The dyno runs are in the FTW album. There are no other mods on the truck at this time. I am very pleased with everyone at Higgins Ford Performance they took their time to do it right.

I got my Bassani exhaust on, and I love it. Sounds good, and looks good.
