My Weekend Project

Got the insulation up today, tomorrow is the wall drywall. I'll finally be able to work in the garage without freezing my tail pipe off..

want to build me one next for free?

i wish i had a garage! just don't have the money, LoL

good luck with the drywall. i do construction and home remodeling during the summer and on some weekends and i love mudding and taping sheetrock going down the shore in a few weeks for a job, but its only painting. and i HATE painting. LoL, but it's some mod money.

anyway, are you gonna paint the walls with any type of HD theme? maybe flames or a big HD emblem or something?

I was thinking a nice bright pink for the walls.. Hows that sound?

But seriously.. It is just a garage and I probably won't paint it at all. We probably will use it as a test bed for some of our faux painting in the house.

After Xmas a guy that works with my wife is running a natural gas line out to the garage and I'm installing a heater. Then I'll be set! A month ago I ran a sub 8 position electrical panel to the garage. I dropped a bunch of extra outlets near my major power tools and I have some new lighting to install when I have time.

you will love your new home away from home. if you do any painting make it a light or white color to reflect light. You will need all of the light possible when working with the door closed.

Drywall is up! Besides keeping the place warmer, it also brightened up the garage bigtime!

That's looking good I'll be glad when I can get back to work on mine. I got the insulation in, the drop panel lights, and ceiling fans up, but thats about it.
Did you use any kind of vapor barrier between the insulation, and the sheetrock? I have hardy plank walls, over felt paper, and we calked all the cracks with spray foam, before the insulation. I'm just curious if I should use a vapor barrier sheet before I close it up...

There aren't any garages in the ghetto, so you must have the inbread hick garage It's cool, at least you probably aren't paying rent.

St. Louis Lightening....you'll be happy with the garage! For a grand mine is room finished, textured and all. I'd suggest going with a white semi-gloss for more light reflection.
