Question fresh? ideas

Ok I have an idea that i'd like to throw out. Anyone considered painting the center caps black/dsg with orange bar and shield? Was wondering what centers cost.

i think they cost about 25-30 bucks a piece from the dealerships. i'm not sure how that would look though. if you paint it black, it would kind of look like its missing or something.
or do you mean just the very center part of the centercap thats indented, and not the whole centercap.

these are mysteryfan's centercaps with vinyl inlays.

i want to get a set eventually when i get 02HD centercaps and just get black inlays

I think they are sharp looking. Not sure how they would look on the DSG truck.

Talking ok

Great pic...ok now take that whole center cap and paint it to match truck leaving logo as is. Would be awesome if the allen caps could be "chromed" like wheel to really make it look even more trick.

OR Leave the "outter" rings chrome and just do the center black with logo as is.

no, i was talking about the dealers sell the stock caps for 25-30 bucks

mysteryfan got those done at a local vinyl shop. they are just vinyl inlays. i think it is like 40 bucks to get a set of them made up. not totally sure though

Lightbulb wow...

Ok, I need some serious help here. I DO have an original idea for the HD. It is not a BIG dollar item. It will sell very fast. Need to be fast. Someone else is bound to think of it....I can't always be that far ahead of the rest of the world...lol...

Does anyone here, or does anyone here know someone(really) that can help me put this to work. This is NOT a major deal, but could be VERY lucrative. I mean this really is a sweet (imho) idea.

I'd hate for these to come out before I figure out how to do this.

BTW... it does not involve doing this to center caps.
