Question I wonder....

Ok, I was thinking(uh-oh) that if you were using that Superchips micro tuner and downloaded your original unaltered chip program into it, and then loaded the mod program to your truck, if it (the mod program)would be detectable (by Ford) if it was removed and replaced with the "never altered" program before taking it to the shop. Since the "factory" program had never been altered, only downloaded. Not sure that can be "detected".

I don't think that it's the programing that you have to worry about. It's the contacts that you have to remove to put a chip in. As soon as the dealer sees that the contacts have been cleaned, your in for it.

i think in a post a few weeks back, somebody said there was some stuff you could get to recoat the contacts with. not sure, but there is probably still a way for them to tell

careful modding!

from what superchips told me..... you can reload the unaltered stock program before returning to dealer.
