Zaino Question?
This is a multi-part question. 1) If I substitute ZFX for Z-1 do I apply Z-5 right onto the ZFX without whiping it off or do I need to let it dry and whipe it first? 2)Is the ZFX a better product performance wise or does it just take a shorter amount of time to dry? 3) How often on average does the stuff need to be applied?
Thanks in aadvance for the responses.

ZFX IS AN ADDITIVE TO Z5 AND Z2 IT AIDS IN THE APPLICATION AS WELL AS THE TIME REQUIRED IN BETWEEN COATS. ZFX YOU ADD 2-4 DROPS PER OZ OF Z5 OR Z2.WITHOUT IT YOU MUST WAIT LIKE 24 HRS IN BETWEEN COATS
MY BOTTLE (SO SMALL I ALMOST MISSED IT IN THE PACKING)
HAS LASTED ME THROUGH" 2" Z2-Z5 BOTTLES EA AND I STILL HAVE PLENTY OF DROPS LEFT.
Pour some z-5 or z-2 in a smaller bottle. Zaino sent some with my wax when I bought the stuff. I think they were 3oz bottles...Then add the zfx drops into the z-2 or z-5 that you just poured, Then apply it to the truck/car. DO NOT add the zfx to the whole bottle of z-5, it will cause it to harden in the bottle Zainobros.com is a good place to learn about it, they have pretty detailed instructions into the application as well as some good tips.
you'll understand it all when you get the stuff. good directions with the bottles, and also at www.zainobros.com
the zfx comes in a super tiny little bottle, it'll boggle your mind that you payed 20 bucks for a 1/2 filled liquid breath mint size bottle of blue liquid
The zfx comes with four 2 ounce mixing bottles. you pour some Z2 or Z5 in the bottle, and add 2-5 drops of zfx per ounce in the bottle and mix it up really well. when its not humid out, 2 drops per ounce is perfect for me. by the time i'm done applying, i can start wiping out. when its really humid in the summer though, i need 4-5 drops per ounce
as for the z1 vs zfx. the z1 is like a polish type stuff, you apply that on the paint 1st to set up the base for the polish. then you apply the z5 or z2 right over that then wipe it off after you did the z5 or z2, then you use the z6 gloss enhancer, and thats all you can do for 24 hours.
with the zfx, you add a few drops to the polish in the little mixing bottle. then you just apply the polish on the truck, let it dry (doesn't take long with the zfx) then you wipe it off, use the z6 gloss enhancer, and you can repeat this process up to 2 more times, for a total of 3 in a 24 hour period.
the shine and reflection will really improve with each coat up to 5 coats on average, then the results level off, but it doesn't hurt to put more on. i've got 9 coats on right now, and that'll be enough until march or april when its nice out again.
you have to use either z1 or zfx with the zaino, or even both if you want, i've heard good things about using them both. next spring after i strip and clay the truck, i'll probably try that just to see for myself.
anyway, about 1 oz of polish will do my entire exterior (tonneau and all) a little tiny bit more and its enough for the inside bed and door sills.
if you have black, you definatly want to get z5. even if you have no swirls, the z5 is better for the darker colors than the z2. i can tell a little difference on my truck when i did the truck with z5 and the tonneau with just z2, so it does make a slight difference.
what i do now is all my basecoats are z5. my final top coat is z2 and i use z2 on all the chrome. and with this i've been going through the polish pretty evenly with 2 coats of z5 with 1 coat of z2 and z2 on all the chrome.
sorry for such a long post, i'm just trying to answer some questions before they are asked
