Any Dates on 3rd F150 Rally
F150 Rally
So what all's involved with this Rally? I live in Maryland and it would be a great excuse to head down to VA Beach for the weekend. Even drag my husband to Busch Gardens. (By the way, one of the BEST amusement parks around here).
I don't have super-mods yet, can I still come and drool over everyone else's?
About how many show up? Details my friend!!!

Haven't made it to either, but anybody with any Ford truck is always welcome. I'm hoping to make it this year and get to meet some of these freaks I associate with in here. Buncha addicts!
Raoul went to the first rally with a bone stock truck, a skirt and heels. The guys at the Ford plant are still trying to track him down.
Busch Gardens is about and hour away once you deal with traffic....

Hi Everyone,
Sorry we've been a bit quiet about this year's Rally, we've been working hard on it for months already (believe it or not), and with all we try to pack into one weekend, it's a real juggling match to make everything happen and get everyone's cooperation, etc. The logistics can be a nightmare, and this year we had to pull some very special "strings" and get the help of some wonderful people to put it all together.
I just saw this thread and though it's not been officially anounced yet, I did just want to let you know that it looks like we'll be doing the Rally dates for the same time of year as we have done the first 2 National Rallys, the last weekend in July, starting on Friday, July 26th and running thru Sunday, July 28th. We'll have that confirmed just a few days after the Memorial Day weekend and then make the formal announcement of the confirmation of the dates. We have a big surprise for this year, and all of that info is being put together now for the Webmaster to post for everyone to see and be able to register, etc.
By the way, we do have one special favor to ask of everyone with regard to the Rally, as we ask each year, PLEASE DO NOT send us emails asking for the Rally details, as each year *all* of that information is provided to the Webmaster, who graciously posts all the details, some great pictures, directions, hotel details, a wonderful presentation in a special web page for the Rally each year, so nobody can miss it. Everyone will be able to access all of that information 24 hrs. a day right here at their convenience and instantly, rather than overloading our already taxed email box, & thanks very much to all of you in advance for your understanding on that.
We will have all the details provided to the Webmaster by the end of this next week (about a week from today), and then he'll make all of that info available on the special web page he does each year.
So the dates are tentatively set for July 26th thru 28th (inclusive!), so be prepared for 3 days of Ford fun, as this year we'll have a combination of events we've never been able to make happen all in one weekend before!
See you in Tidewater!

Good to hear. I'm ready to put in for the vacation time!
Alright folks, I don't want to be the only one showing up this year.
There were a few non Lightning people at the drag strip but I didn't see anyone (aside from Mike and Anita) before that.
I look forward to seeing Mike and Anita again this year as well as other fellow members. We spend all this time disscussing our trucks on the boards, wouldn't it be fun to do it real time?
If some of you think this is too far, I will be coming from MA. Last year Andthensometoo came down from MI (as I believe she did the year before).
I know this can be an expensive trip. I don't have a ton of money right now (I guess thats what happens when you buy a house and a supercharger and your partner [who is supposed to pay half the bills] is still job hunting). I will probably be tenting it to save some cash. Anyone into camping. It would be cool to get a few groups together (perhaps who like to party a little) at the same site. Just an idea.
I hope a bunch of you can go!

If Lew is going, I gotta try hard to make it.
I understand Lew has been working on increasing his ET. Just in case I have a pallet of concrete mix on hold at Lowes.
No way you're walking away with slow ET of the event again Lew. It just ain't gonna happen!

UNBELIEVABLE !!!
Last year I missed the Norfolk rally because my wife's sister was getting married in Canada. Just found out yesterday that another sister is getting married on July 27th. That's the Saturday of this years rally when we go up to the 1/4 mile track at Dinwiddie.
(first of all, WHO would marry these women?)
I told my wife I wasn't going.
(told her I'd go to her sister's next wedding)
Now, I have to go because my wife used physical violence to make her point. At least this wedding is local, Newport News and not till 7pm. My wife said I have to be home at 5pm to get ready.
So, this is what I need...could somebody pick up my timeslip for me. When I make my last run, I won't be turning off. I'll be steady gettin' it all the way back home and I just know that will probably be my best run of the day.
I would invite all of ya'll to crash the reception but, the grooms' side is some kind of 'no liquer' fanatics.
(poor slob is doomed, marrying my wife's sister and he don't drink)

Hi Raoul & Everyone,
OK, we have submitted all the Rally info to Steve Eppinger, our Webmaster here at F-150 Online, and he will post all that info as he always does each year so that everyone can see all the info in a central location, 24 hrs. a day, and so that everyone will be able to register to attend the events they want to attend. Registration is mandatory for *each* of the events (with the sole exception of the concert on the oceanfront Friday night) and the registration form will be part of what the Webmaster posts for the Rally info.
The dates are FIRM for the last weekend in July, the 26th thru 28th inclusive, just as the past 2 years have been.
For Raoul, the Test & Tune session on Saturday July 27th at Virginia Motorsports Park will start at 11 am and run to 2:30 pm, for the Test & Tune session. So Raoul, you can easily make that timeframe and still haul butt home in time for the wedding, so no excuses, we want to see you this year! (please?)
To everyone, we have been able to arrange for another tour of the Norfolk F-150 assembly plant this year. Some serious strings had to be pulled to make this happen, as the Norfolk plant suspended all tours as of last year due to ongoing additions & new construction to the plant. This year's tour will be held at 9:30 am on Friday July 26th, that is the only time we could arrange for.
This year we have the plant tour at 9:30 am on Friday, then the concert at the oceanfront at 6 pm. Then on Saturday we have the drag strip events, and for this you have the option to do only the Test & Tune session from 11 am - 2:30 pm, or to also stay and compete in the actual racing for money, they're having their ET series that starts eliminations at 3 pm that day & runs to completion that night.
Then on Sunday we have our new Show & Shine event to cap off the weekend, that's going to be a real blast.
So all in all, we've managed to pack this year's Rally with more events & bigger events than we've ever had before. This year will truly be the best Rally so far thanks to all the events etc., that we've been able to put together, so we expect to see everyone there in droves!
All the details will be posted shortly by the Webmaster so everyone can see it all & get their registrations in, and those who need to can take advantage of the rates we've negotiated with a couple of the local hotels by calling the numbers listed in the Rally info page to be posted shortly.
See you there!!
