Who's going to the Rally?

Well? Who is going?
Anyone bringing kids? What are their ages?
Anyone else driving something else? What are you driving?

I ask because I need new tires and I may not be able to get them in time, so I may have to take Fast Clouds Ranger. It seems nobody has 275/60/16 Pirrelli Scorpian Zeros and I don't want to spend that kind of money for something I may not like.
Anyway, I will be bring Fast Cloud and my 14 yr. old. I thought about the 7 yr old, but 4 people, 3 of which are about my size, and a (whiney) 7 yr old for 10-12 hours in a Ranger will drive me nuts!
Oh yeah and FastCloud doesn't even smoke in his Truck!

Will anyone miss seeing my Truck?

Hi everyone,

Give us a few days, and we'll have all the times & where we'll meet, etc. posted for everyone.

The first scheduled event as it stands right now is Friday evening at 5 or 6 pm, that's the concert on the oceanfront. We're leaving for the Rally on Thursday evening, and are picking up another new FoMoCo vehicle (project vehicle, stay tuned!) that day, Friday, during the day.

We'll probably meet thebtuw're working that out right now. amnd will post that in a few days, ASAP.

And yes ATST, we'll definitely miss that big blue truck of yours, but we'd miss *you* much moreif *you* couldn't make it, so we really don't care what you arrive in, as long as it's not a Honda.

Looking forward to meeting & seeing everyone there!

Talking

I will be there. I have no kids.
My girl won't be coming. I said it would be all trucks all the time. That doesn't interest her so much. She asked, if she were to go, if we could do something other than truck stuff. I couldn't commit to anything. Maybe next year she will come. I will have a better idea of how things go.
A buddy of mine is going for the ride. A guys weekend. We are looking forward to being at the strip!
I have been all excited about this event. I just hope I can find my way around down there.
Anyone have an idea of how many so far?
Andthensometoo, I will miss seeing your truck there. Will you run the Ranger at the strip?
My girl drives a Honda too. I don't understand. She doesn't care how many cubic centimeters the engine is or how much horsepower and torque it has. She doesn't want to do any mods. Go figure.
See you all soon!
Tom

Still no word on the Tires.
Voltage Reg quite on me, so Truck will be taking a trip to the dealers. I may just have the door crack fixed while we are out of town, so this may work out for the better.

I think FastCloud will want to see what his 4.0 with 4.10 gears will do, so maybe . . .
I know he is smiling at every light, sizing up, and then embarassing cars now. It is funny to hear him brag about his Truck: 75% of what he says is verbatum of what I told him about it, including HP, vehicle weight, wheel spin, ect. Oh he also brags about his interest rate I got him at FMC vs the credit union's advertised 6.75% which they wouldn't let him have anyway.
He now thinks every White ranger he sees, is trying to copy him (without sucess) because they have window guards too.
So far we (I mean I) have removed the 4x4 and offroad decals, added window guards, Finally got the proper bug guard for his 'special hood', threw in a bed matt, and added a tailgate protector to cover the top edge of the tailgate. wonders why Ford didn't include that one? Oh and we ditched the Firestones curtesy of Ford.
He even bought a T-shirt without any writing/graphics on it just for the Trip. (= to womens vacation shopping) What a guy!

Hi ATST & everyone

Sounds like you've found a very nice guy with similar interests there ATST, excellent! We look forward to seeing his new SOHC Ranger with those 4.10's, that thing should run pretty good!
