Windsor, Ontario Triton Engine Plant Tour

HI!... Would just like everyone here to know that I have been working with FORD's to get a tour going through the WINDSOR ENGINE plant. This will be a tour to see the 4.6/5.4/6.8 TRITON engines being built from a block to a finished engine ready to install in a vehicle. The tour will be at 9:00A.M JULY 31 2004. It's a SATURDAY. No one under 13 is allowed on the tour. Ford will supply the safety glasses but YOU need to supply the safety boots/shoes. No safety boots/shoes, *NO TOUR*. There will be a lunch meet afterwards at JD PRANKSTERS resturant. Please let me know if you want to attend, here. I need close #'s so FORD knows how many guides they need to provide. Thanks.

Man that would be sweet!! That is like a pilgramage to Ford Mecca. But.... that is over 900 miles one way. So I don't think that I can make it. So I am begging you to do the next best thing and take a *****load of pictures for the rest of us to drool over.

Cool

HI!... C'mon guys, I can't believe no one wants to go to this!! Everyone in this are is always complaining that there's nothing to do around here related to FORD and our trucks. I busted my ***** and pulled a ton of favours to get us this tour and no one apparently wants to go! Just to let you guys know, this is the *1ST* time EVER a public tour has been allowed to go through the plant while in operation. If I don't get at least 40 people to come then the whole tour will be cancelled and I will foget about ever trying to do this kind of thing again. So if your interested in going, PLEASE chime in here so I can give my FORD rep a rough figure on the amount of people to attend.

Anybody have a guy I can talk to get a tour of the Ford plant in Oakville? Anybody know a supervisor that works there? My dad is coming to town (Toronto) and I'm really wanting to treat him to a tour (a proud Lightning owner). I'm willing to pay a few bucks for anybody that's willing to go through the trouble to set this up.

Cool

HI!... I've been through the OAKVILLE F-150 assembly plant twice. It's a great tour. If you can get in there, get in there quick. They will be shutting down that plant soon.

Neal, any idea how I can get in there? I don't believe they do random public tours. I definitely want to check it out though. Think I could call somebody there and offer them some money for a tour? You know anybody there I can contact?

Any help is much appreciated. Feel free to call: 937.620.1004

Neal, any more info on the engine tour in Windsor? The Rouge tour on this side of the river (2005 F150) is supposed to be a real "state of the art" tour.
