Talking 4th annual F150 Online/Performance Products rally, anyone thinking about it?

I know that there hasn't been any information on this yet. I know that Mike Troyer is extremely busy with all sorts of other things. I know that it's only April.

Anyone thinking about this years Norfolk rally?

This will be my third. It's been nice, but there has been plenty of room for more people. Last year I did get to meet some really cool people. I hope that they will be able to make it this year. I hope that some of you other members can make it this year. It's really a cool time. The whole weekend isn't consumed with thruck stuff. There is plenty of time to go to Virginia Beach, enjoy the surf and walk the boardwalk. It's a good time for the whole family, or without. Hopefully we get to do another plant tour, that would be really cool to see the new F150's being built. There will probably be a time for all the F150's (and their owners) to get together and talk truck. The drag strip event at VMP can really get the adreneline flowing.

People who have money can find some real nice accomidations real close to all the action. For thoes of us without a fat wallet there are some inexpensive alternatives close to the action. Last year my girl and I did the rally and spent a couple days going to the beach for a few hundred. It's worth the expense!

Well, I just wanted to see if any one was thinking about possibly going this year.

Mike, I know your busy, so I will patiently await word from you.

I'm up for it, maybe this year it won't rain, lol. Hey Tom my truck is going up to NJ next week. Getting a 3:73 rear gear, 42 pound injectors and 90MAF then a custom tune while it is there. They burn the chip right off the dyno runs, so they get the air/fuels right on. I have done some apperance mods since last year, new cowl induction hood, Street Scene Cal Vu mirrors. and some other stuff. Hopefully we can get this thing going and get a better turnout. The track was great fun, maybe this year will be able to inprove our times. See ya there. Maybe

Mike

????? Has anything come of this ?????

I was at last years and enjoyed every minute of it even though I had to leave the track early due to my God daughters birthday party (which has already taken place this year) I have been on the look out for posts regarding this years event and some how missed this post . . .

Is it on????

I don't think we're going to do it this year. I was really looking forward to it. I think it's been a busy year for the Troyers. I guess planning this event didn't fit.

Perhaps we should get a disscussion going earlier to try to put something together for next year.

Oh well. I guess we'll have to go another year not knowing who is faster, my plain Jane Magnacharged truck or MHZMAN's tricked- out Procharged truck. I think I have a pretty good idea.

Food for thought

Here's an idea. The year isn't over, and if anything it will be cooling down here, which is a good thing for those who wish to hit the track.

If you guys still want to rally, let's check in with Mike and if he doesn't have time this year we can set up something on our own. Maybe if WE do the leg work he might take a day off and make it.

I'm local, and so is Raoul. IIRC MHZMAN is local as well.

Throw out your thoughts. We might have to alter plans based on shorter planning time, but there are plenty of alternatives. There are several local dynos, and at least one mobile dyno setup. Hopefully a track day could still be planned, less the outrageous temps if we are lucky.

As in the past years, I'm not sure if I will have time to attend everything, but I'd surely get out to meet everyone like I did last year. Hopefully plan time for more as well. Either way I'd make time to do some legwork locally to help make it happen.

Lew,

I have a good memory. If we both ever get to the track, the race to disgrace is still on. Your kid can keep the blanket, but I'm laying down a gaunlet here. I'm going to prove to you that my 4x4 302 truck can be beat by your 6 banger, fair and square!

We will be checking for a bed full of sand, concrete filled spare, and full gas tank. The time to quit sandbagging has come.

I would do whatever I can to attend and try to bring along at least a couple more Ford truck owners as well.

Of course a major highlight would be a tour of the Norfolk Plant . . . anyone have any contacts???

This is the first time I heard about this and it sounds like fun. Where and when is this usually held? What do they usually have going on there? Let me know I am interested! Thanks
