The Next Troyer Performance Group Buy
The Next Troyer Performance Group Buy
Hi everyone!!
As many mentioned in the other thread, the reason our current Group was not announced here before now was only because we had not gotten "official" permission from the Webmaster, and still haven't, though we have sent in the required official request a couple of times. Steve may be on vacation what with the holidays, etc., we sent in the requests a couple of weeks ago. Since we have not gotten a response and in the past have always had our Group Buys approved, we must assume that it's OK, so let me give everyone the details of what we are doing!
First, we are doing a Group Buy on our Troyer Performance Electric Fan Kit - now this is the kit that has the new custom fabricated fan mounting brackets to make the installation so much easier - you can see picture of this in the link that was posted in MGDFan's post (once again, thanks Vic!!) on the last page of the other Group Buy thread. That is an installation we did on the Roush project truck owned by Ken Payne that we have done all of the performance modifications on, from the supercharger to the boost increase, the upgraded ignition, dyno tuning, and much more - it's a beautiful truck.
The Group Buy price on our dual 16" fan kit for the 1997-2003 F-150 and our kit for the 2004 & up F-150 is just $379+ shipping. And for those who would like to come to our shop and have us do the installation for you, we will do that on non-supercharged 2004 & newer F-150's for just $125. Supercharged vehicles typically require some additional work for things like the intercooler fluid reservoir, and other things, depending on the kit, so for those we simply charge for the time it actually takes us. This would also apply to trucks that have had significant mods that would add to the installation time - like if the truck is significantly lifted, or just anything that actually either gets in the way or in some manner cause a need for us to do additional work we normally would not have to, that's all.
We originally scheduled the Group Buy to run from December 6th thru January 15th, but given that we are just getting this info up here now, we will extend the length of the Group Buy for registered members of F-150 Online to the 15th of February.
We are also doing some custom tuning specials as well for F-150 Online members.
1.) We are providing the XCal 3 tuning device loaded with 3 of our custom tunes as well as a dyno session including the datalogging & dyno pulls at our shop for just $525 + sales tax. This applies to 1997 - 2008 F-150's as well as 1997-2006 Expeditions that are NOT supercharged or have "heavy" mechanical modifications. the vehicles must be 2WD or 4WD, for AWD applications there will be a surcharge, as we have to do mobile datalogging on those vehicles (for example, the 2007 Harley Davidson with the AWD option).
2.) This is for those of you who already own an SCT flash device like the XCal 2, LiveWire, etc., and do not have our tunes, and now want Troyer Performance custom tuning. For a set of 3 custom tunes and a dyno session to include the datalogging & dyno pulls, this will be just $325.
3.) This is for those who already have our Troyer Performance custom tuning and want all of our latest updates for more power and better driveability, as well as the chance to get in here on our dyno so we can datalog & tweak the vehicle if need be. The cost to update your existing Troyer Performance tunes and do the dyno session on non-supercharged vehicles is just $199.
4.) This applies only to those who have FACTORY supercharged vehicles like the 99-04 Lightning, 02-03 Harley, and the 03-04 Cobra. We will provide the XCal 3 with a set of 3 custom tunes including the datalogging & dyno pulls for just $549. Now here we have to draw some ground rules, the vehicles must still utilize the original Eaton supercharger (it can be ported), and they must not be "heavily" modified (I.E., must be on the original stock engine, not running 18 PSI boost, or bigger injectors, different MAF meters, etc. Now we know a lot of those vehicles *are* heavily modded, and we'll do those too, for a slight additional surcharge, just give us a call and we'll work out a deal for your configuration.
5.) For those who have aftermarket-supercharged trucks (like the Roush vehicles we tune so many of, etc.), please give us a call and we will go over your configuration, and give you a special deal based on what we need to do to that vehicle.
Once again, these specials run thru the 15th of February for F-150 Online members. These specials do NOT affect or apply to existing orders already placed with us - BUT - for anyone who already has an order in with us for our custom tuning, we will give you an extra-special rate if you want to come in and get in on the dyno for us to datalog & tweak it.
So there it is, Gang, and Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone!

Hi Everyone,
Wow, sorry for the confusion!!
And by the way NCSU_05_FX4, thanks very much for pointing out that thread, but that is very old news - just FYI, we have known that Steve sold the site since well before it was ever announced (we knew it from other obvious industry info, not from Steve). But as can also be seen in that thread Steve is still here and none of the policies have changed, including what is required for us to post a Group Buy, etc., so we did exactly what is required.
Anyway, today is the first time that I saw it as a separate new thread and heard there were some responses, etc., so I wanted to drop by and see if I can clear up some of the confusion, hopefully, and make it all work for everyone.
OK, so great, the new thread is up and current - excellent!
So let's address your concerns.........
First, yes, we DID extend the Group Buy thru the end of the month - however, given all of the confusion, how about we just go ahead and run it thru the middle of February for you guys, OK?
So let's consider the NEW cut-off date to be FRIDAY. FEBRUARY 15th to give you all time on this Group Buy AND the tuning specials listed in my original post.
And our apologies to all of you who may have contacted us and gotten the response that it ended January 15th, as this has unfortunately turned out to be a bit ill-coordinated, thus we have actually extended it twice now.
So anyone who has previously contacted us, please feel free to get back in touch with us by phone or email and we will be more than happy to accommodate you on that Group Buy & tuning specials thru the new date of February 15th.
And yes, we WILL accommodate owners of the 1997-2003 F-150's as well - now there is one thing I should mention about our kit for the 1997-2003's, and that is, the installation manual for the 1997-2003's has not been updated to reflect our new custom mounting brackets - actually, the only change to our existing manual would be for our new custom mounting brackets, the rest of the docs are fine. So what we have been doing is to send out our existing manual, but including a note telling our customers to ignore the part that goes over the old mounting system, and including the pages from our 2004 & up manual that show how to assemble the fans onto our new custom mounting brackets that make it much easier to mount the fans, so the bottom line is you'll have the info you need, just be aware of that point, is all. It's not a big deal when you have all that info, it's just that these days, with demand for kits on 1997-2003's lower compared to the demand for the 2004 & newer trucks (which is natural), we have not done a complete re-write on the docs like we had to for the 2004's (we actually made several changes to the way the kit for the 2004 & newer F-150's is installed that takes significant time off of that installation), that's all. Again, the current docs for the 1997-2003's will be fine with the additional info we include on the new mounting brackets, but I just wanted to point that out.
Our staff has just now been informed of this extension to Friday the 15th of February, so anyone who has previously contacted us about this, or those who had interest but needed more time, please feel free to call us or email us and we'll get you taken care of!!
Now this extension ALSO applies to the tuning specials we originally mentioned as well, to make sure everyone gets taken care of properly.
So to summarize so that it's clear for everyone, my original post dated 12-27-07, the electric fan kit Group Buy & tuning specials are EXTENDED to Friday, February 15th - so if any of you have contacted us by phone or email and gotten a response as a couple have quoted here, please feel free to contact us as that has been EXTENDED to February 15th!!
Thanks everyone,

Thanks everyone,
Do you have any tuning specials for us that aren't close enough to Virgina to hit the dyno (similar to the original group buy listed below).
For 1996-2006 F-150's & Expeditions, & other FoMoCo vehicles - (we'll include mildly modified Lightnings, Harleys & Cobra's too - but WE define "mildly modified," and we may need to charge more depending on the exact mods). You get 3 custom tunes in the XCalibrator 2 and a USB cable for just $XXX delivered.
