Let me say this. I have the highest respect for someone in your profession. It takes someone special to drive a school bus and put up with so many kids. It has to be one of if not the toughest jobs, at least mentally.
If I can is it harder in the morning or after school? I would think after school when the kids are at their peak energy.

two great nations
I enjoy going to Canada and spending my USA dollars on vaca and such, BUT
Inform me as to how Canada can be mentioned alongside the USofA as being a "great nation"? Besides the afore-mentioned.
I've never thought of Canada as being a "great nation". You have some beautiful un-spoiled areas, but to label yourself as a "great nation" is quite a stretch.
What has Canada done for the rest of the world?
The USA is the largest contributor of food & first-aid to the world.
I didn't know that the world's economy hinged upon the Canadian Stock market.
Help me out I forgot it's name................?

I was not whining, and you know it. My post was directed at canadians mainly.
I also 100% agree with the don't bite the hand that feeds you theory, but as for Rednecks(aptly named BTW) remarks and others that think along those same lines, remember that the whole world, not just Canada rely on the US economically. The US has something like 6% of the worlds population but consumes 25% of the worlds goods. This is a market place that no one can afford to ignore.
As for those jealous of the US, sure there are many.
But the UK, Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong, Autralia, Germany, France and several other countries/cities I have worked in are not jealous, not by a long shot. Most have a higher living standard and don't have the social woes we have here. but still harbour negative sentiments towards the US.
And from what I have experienced, it can absolutely be traced back to GWB. Two years ago for instance I would always be welcomed with a smile and mainly remarks about how nice america is. Now a days , like I said, I don't show my US passport.
My co workers that do however get unduly hassled, and I can only attribute it to the fact that they show their US papers.
I believe that GWB, while being the right man for the war on terrorism, is bad news in almost every other arena that I have read up on. The environment, global trade, nuclear and conventional weapons treaties not to mention foreign policy.
So please guys no flames, but instead of the I'm the big Bad ***, Too Bad attitude, maybe we should think about why we are viewed the way we are.

Problem is that sometimes they develop some hard feelings between some of the combatents, and this spills into another forum, when someone has a problem or question about their truck, seen it happen more than a few times in the past couple years here.

Fair enough about not being the other guy. I was not sure. I have been to Japan and Hong Kong many times. I was stationed in Japan on an aircraft carrier. Neither Japan or Hong Kong have the standard of living that we have here in the USA. Japan is very cramped and your lucky to have anything close that resembles a house here in America there or Hong Kong.
I will say neither Japan or Hong Kong have the type of problems we have as far as crime. They are ran they way I would like to see here in America, but the liberals would not want that at all.
For instance in both countries there is no such thing as police burtality. If you even "think" about mouthing off to a cop there they will bust your as* with their sticks end of story not law suits etc. In Japan they do NOT have condos for thier inmates like we do in America, nor do they eat as well as our boys in America. They eat rice just about every day. They don't get all this TV. law school, etc. They are there for punishment plain and simple.
So, Japan and Hong Kong could show are liberals here in America if you REALLY want to stop crime and cut it WAY down do as they do in those countries. Its like myself and other conseritive have said make jail/prison punishment and the problems will stop or at least be DRASTICALLY reduced and there is proff to back up my point, Japan and Hong Kong, as well as Tailand and Korea to name a few others I have been to. They to have a lower standard of living. Most all countries have a lower standard of living compared to the USA with the exception of Austrial who is about equal.
As far as America needing to understand "why" these other countries feel this way towards us is NOT needed. Thats the liberal "feel good" (we need to feel their pain and change) NO we don't they need to change or get their as* kicked and put into the place they rank, UNDER the USA.

He let North Korea continue on developing nuclear weapons, that Carter gave the go ahead to during his "play time" as president.
Play time is over, now there is a real man in office, like Reagan and Bush senior. Now the other countries are running scared so of course they come up with "America is evil and bad".
If Saddam give's us the opporitinity we will be able to test a few more nukes out to see how well they work. That will keep the world in check for another 50 - 60 years. as for everyone else,
as a dumb bus driver i DONT care about micro or macro economics...they are both classes my girfriend had to take @Drexel University...i went to tech school for HVAC and are paying back MY loan just like a good citizen!

I think the Canadians get mad because they do not understand what freedom of speech and expression is. They do not have this luxury, and if they do they do not understand it. Freedom of speech means that we can say what we want regardless of whether or not someone else wants to hear it. It is our right to express our opinions and if someone doesn't care to hear it then don't listen.
I lived in Europe in for ten years, and Sam N you are going to try to tell me that they have a higher standard of living than we do and are not jealous of America. Yeah, I wish America had a socialist government like France and like all the other European countries taxed the hell out of their citizens. America has rights that no other country in the world has, and many countries hate us for it because they don't understand what it is like to have those rights.
Sam N, why do you think the EU was formed and they adopted a single currency the "Euro." This union is being formed to challenge the power of the USA because they hate that we have what they don't. The Euro was created to try and topple the dollar to become the single most traded and widely accepted currency in the world. In my opinion the EU was formed based on Europes jealousy of America.
If these European countries have better living standards than we do, why is it that when they have a disaster of some sort they ask us for money to help out? Where are they when a disaster hits America. If they are so well off why is it that they don't gives us money when we have a disaster?
The world feared the U.S. electing a Republican President because they knew we would no longer play to their demands. Now that GWB is in office the situations that should have been taken care are now being addressed.
Perhaps I should look at things from a liberal perspective; "we don't know that Iraq has weapons of mass, so we shouldn't attack them until they actually use one." To me that liberal train of thought that we should wait for large sums of people to be killed before we act is scary. I agree with everything 01 XLT Sport says. To all you anti-America types out their, pray to your GOD tonight that the USA is on top, as always, for if it wasn't you wouldn't be reading this post on your computer in your home where you are warm and fuzzy. And the really sad things is we wouldn't be driving around these badas* F150 sucking up all the oil we would be driving them little go-cart looking things.

Now, you could be right since nobody knows the REAL Algore, always reinventing himself.
Anyhow I say rather then taking all that money and giving it to another country he may have decided to give a tax cut to the POOR, who pay NO taxes to begin with. I mean in the liberals eyes it just aint fair that the poor can't be driving around in a Ford LIGHTING. For God sakes you can't expect these people to actually work if they can't make $20 or more an hour.
I just can not EVER understand the thought process or logic of giving money to someone for FREE who has not paid any taxes to begin with (since they get it all back) plus a bonus from us other tax payers. Screw them, I DO NOT want them to have ANY of my money PERIOD. If they don't actually earn it then "oh well" if they are hungry then get a second job, or third job.
People on welfare should have to earn the check they get. Lots of things they can do to earn it, pick up trash on the side of the road, clear the weeds around the city, give the homeless a damn bath, if they don't want a bath them use a fire hose on them. They can keep all the city parking lots clean with a manual broom. They can repaint all the red and yellow curbs. I could come up with one hell of a list and they would either work 8 hours a day or go hungry.
When your on welfare your in Uncle Sam's house (our house, us taxpayers) you either do what the owner of the house says to do or you get out and make it on your own, if you go hungry oh well, when your hungry enough you'll find a way to get some food.
The liberals just like to be CRUEL and heartless about people in need and treat them like little baby's, little idiots that don't have enough brains to think for themselfs. Where I on the other hand have a BIG heart and want to make them feel like someone, someone productive, someone they and others can feel proud about. To make them feel like "Yes I can do it, I am smart" I don't need my mommy and daddy to help me until I am 50 years old.

Anyhow I say rather then taking all that money and giving it to another country he may have decided to give a tax cut to the POOR, who pay NO taxes to begin with. I mean in the liberals eyes it just aint fair that the poor can't be driving around in a Ford LIGHTING. For God sakes you can't expect these people to actually work if they can't make $20 or more an hour.
I just can not EVER understand the thought process or logic of giving money to someone for FREE who has not paid any taxes to begin with (since they get it all back) plus a bonus from us other tax payers. Screw them, I DO NOT want them to have ANY of my money PERIOD. If they don't actually earn it then "oh well" if they are hungry then get a second job, or third job.
