Beeeeeeeeeeeater!!!!
Beeeeeeeeeeeater!!!!
I finally got around to getting my trail truck and getting it going. Last weekend was the first run its been on. Man that thing is fun. You can read my signature for the specs. Its great having a truck where you don't care at all what happens to it.
Sweet!
I like that truck alot better than the $50K, 20" lifted superduties with chrome axles, traction bars and 45 shocks that NEVER see a puddle let alone mud
I had an old K5 in the same great condition: ran like snot and looked like hell! Have fun

Hey, I used to have one of those!!
It got through some things I didn't think it could. Hated to give it up!!,,,,98
Mine was white over red two tone with a 2.8 V6/4 speed. 4x4 of course
It had 245/70/15 Trailhandlers on it.

I particularly like the bottom corner of the cab where there is now a lack of bondo from a previous accident. Got a few more things left to do to the truck. It needs a new set of bumpers so those will hopefully get built this winter. Also need to pull the oil pan and replace the gasket to fix the oil leak. It still hesitates right off idle so I think theres something up with the timing. The gromet on the shifter fork on the transfer case is gone so it doesn't shift into 4lo real easy so that needs to be worked out too. Once all thats done it should run like new.
I still don't know how I didn't break anything in the park. A locked or welded front end on a Dana 28 is not good for breakage. My front shaft U-joint caps are welded in so that adds alot strength, but I was sure I was going to blow at least a hub, especially the way I was driving.

yeah, kinda suprises me that you didn't snap an axle. Does that thing auctually move with that tiny little power plant?? I like the idea, you got it right, just a beater truck.
