Any Thoughts on the BMW M3(OT But looking for opinions)

I looked at one today and they are pretty sweet. I was thinking of it as a all year driver (michigan).

Anyone have any opinions on it?

I drove a new 330ci today, they did not have any m3's to take out.

Based on pure perfomance it is a car to have. The reason I would be hesitant is because it looks just like a 325,330i, etc. and there are thousands of them around where I live. (I see more 3 series on the roads around here than Accords). My brother in-law has a 330ci and it has be vandalized a couple of times. Ripped top and keyed. He also has had it in the shop a lot. Regular maintenance stuff takes days and not hours.

I have never owned a German car and do not plan on starting anytime soon. A lot of my neighbors have BMWs. I did not follow the crowd and leased an Infiniti G35 as my toy. My first car ever was a '77 280Z. I test drove the G and leased it that night. (For those that do not know the G35 is not a re-badged Altima. It is RWD and based on the new 350Z FM platform.) I was really wanting the 350Z but wife said no more two seaters. (we have three boys).

The G35 Coupe is a sharp car ... One plus is you will not see that many other ones on the road. They are only making less than 14,000.

I like a lot of cars, but the new M3 is the only one I lust over. It is the perfect vehicle. Faster than almost anything else, outhandles virtually any other vehicle, but incredibly classy

The M3 is by far the best all around car on the planet. I have driven many M's including and original M5 and hands down the M3 is more fun and usefull.

My brother has owned 6 BMW's over the past 15 years and they are great cars. The fit and finish alone will blow you away. The best thing about them is that the more you drive them the better they get! They break in around 30-40k.

If you can do it buy one ASAP! I wish I could! You won't enven need to mod it and it will out run just about everything especially in the twisties. If you happen to put about 3-4k of mods into it there will be very little that can keep up with it.

Another thing is that they are great sleepers not everyone knows how fast they are. I loved driving my brothers M3 (He had the badges removed) around and roasting the ricers!

Have fun!!!
