my inner cheapskate, and got to thikning. Since Christmas is fast approaching, would I be wrong to ask Santa Claus (mom and dad, grandparents, aunts, and uncles) for the mods I want to put on my truck? I promise to ask them for the lower cost items.
Well, you gotta ask yourself two questions....
Would they rather get you something you really want, or something they want to get for you?
and do you want to get what you really want, or what they want to get for you???
Yeah, I know what answer you came up with....

No theres nothing wrong with it. I am a dad and my 14 year old daughter lives with me (I have custody) on Christmas I get her a few small things for Christmas and then money. Some people think that is cheap, or not wanting to take the time to find things for her. That is so wrong. First she is a teenager and I have no idea (basically) of the things she likes. She loves and I mean LOVES clothes. She loves the idea about getting cash and then being able to go buy just what she wants.
I would much rather see her get what she really likes rather then wasting $200, $300 or $400 on alot of things that would end up in a closet for 9 months only to see go to Goodwill before next Christmas.

Yes, I go with her and actually we have a great time. I am not into shopping, at least not clothes shopping, but when we do especially after Christmas it is a lot of fun, especially watching her compare prices and getting the best deal she can
It's funny how kids when spending their own money on things look for the good deals, compared to when they need something during the year (with someone elses money) and you look at the price, and they say "that's not so bad"

I want a pioneer cd player for christmas. (Pioneer Premier DEH-P740MP MP3 Player) for 250 dollars it is a deal. Plus it will give me something to mess around with while college is out for christmas.
I just talked to mom and dad, and my "wish list" is in cirrculation. I can't wait to see if I have boxes under the tree with Edelbrock, Air Force 1, and Bilstien stamped on the side.
