Sniper is way too close for comfort now!!
Sniper mess too close to my work!! Photos inside!!
For those of you who have been watching the news, you will know that they have arrested a man at a gas station in Richmond, VA. Apparently this guy tried to contact the number that was left at the shooting on Saturday night in Ashland, VA.
That gas station is only 100 yards from my work at the Suntrust Operations Center. A helicopter landed on our front lawn, and the SWAT team came running out and across the street. It is crazy over here right now, and a little scary that they may have caught an accomplise so close to here.
A coworker tried to convince me last night that I should buy my gas at that station for he believed it was one of the safest around. I opted not to stop there this morning for some reason, and now I am glad I didn't.
Small world we live in!!

Ummmm - hate to point this out to you Matt, but what do most gas stations and/or convenience stores have over the pumps? Yep, banks of nice bright lights. Bet he can see you great under all those. Don't think that would help you out at all. Also, depending on the surroundings, he may be less likely to be spotted at night. Think about how much less pedestrian traffic there is in some areas at night. Less people milling about = less likelihood of this whacko running into someone else.
