I was just wondering...
What is the highest mileage truck you have ever owned.
I inherited an 85 f150 with the 300 six. Dad bought it new in 85, gave it to me in 94 and I drove it till I bought my new truck in 01.
When I got the truck it had about 280k on it. I rolled it over th 300k before I graduated HS. Driving back and forth from college in Branson Mo to S.E. MO I rolled it over again. The engine finally went, it had never had any major mechanical work done to it. I replaced the engine with a ford remanufactured one and drive teh truck another 40k then bought my new(er) one. I sold ol blue to my borhter in law who totaled it about a month later. I should have never done that. Anyway I would like to hear other stories of long lasting trucks. I can't prove that is how many miles the old truck had on it, you guys will just have to take my word for it. There isn't any reason to make stuff up, cause they are build FORD TOUGH

 

my dad had a company truck out at the plant he used to manage that had over 400,000 and it had never been redone-i do think it had a tranny though. It was a early 80's shortbed half ton 6 cyl 5 spd. Wish they hadnt got rid of it....its prolly still goin strong hopefullly

I saw a thread a while back about a guy that drove his S-10 or ranger over 1,000,000. the highest ever i believe.

 

I'm only at 23,xxx So I still have a bit to go.

 

my bro had an '84 s-10 with 460k on it when the odometer broke in '95

 

Well... I'm only at 26.5K

 

I'm at 74k

 

97 F150 4.6L has 145K- no major parts yet ( knock on wood)
88 S10 2.5L speedo broke on purchase estimated 160K, used engine at 190K, now has over 240K
