Question Trade In...

Hey guys, has anyone traded in a truck similar to mine recently (check sig)? Just wondering what you got... I'm fighting tooth and nail to get better than $12k.

Thanks.

Not yet and only have a 4X2...

Sounds a little low, what's the mileage?

67k. But it's in great shape. The only part of the truck that is not in great shape is the bed. And since it is a truck, I would hope that's not detracting from it. I haven't had a chance to stay at the dealer and haggle. I just let them appraise it and then I had to get back to work. They told me that with all of the rebates that is all they can do. $12k still seems a little low...actually, really low.

Oh, and I pulled all of the sound out so its back to it's factory sound with 6cd changer.

That sounds too low.

I suggest you get the box fixed. See if you can pound out the dents (or Bondo over it) and get it sprayed with a liner to cover up the damage. Then sell the truck on your own. You should get something a lot closer to $20k.

I got a little over $18k for my similar '99 when I traded it in last year at the dealer, so a year later, you should be able to get pretty close to that on the open market if not more.
