Question Getting ready to purchase a 2000 Lightning

Anyone give me some advice???

I am going tomorrow to negotiate a price on a 2000 F150 lightning. I was wondering if anyone had any comments or suggestions on the asking price from the dealer. The truck has 18,000 miles, not dents nor scratches except for cargo blemishes in the bed. The interior is immaculate and does not have a spot of dirt nor a trace of fowl odor. I took it for a test drive(first time driving a lightning) and now I'm hooked. The dealer is asking $23,800. Does this seem resonable? My budget allows for a $22,000 purchase and $2000 down payment. What would be a resonable negotiation on such a vehicle? I'm worried I'm going to pay too much because I've got that itch to get an L. Any input would be helpful. Thanks, Jim

That sounds like a good price

Most of the dealers here are asking more than that

Post it over on the Lightning forum, you will get a lot of answers.

I am not sure if that is good or not, but I paid 29 and change for my 2001 brand new.
