Well, I'm going for an interview next week. I'm hoping for

Good company..

Hey Trapper, I was laid off from the big blue oval several years ago and interviewed in Smyrna, Tenn. with them. They are a really good company. Only thing that kept me in Ohio was family, and a phone call calling me back to the big blue oval.
Good luck...
Marc

Don't get lost at Nissan, that facility is huge!

Will they let you park the Ford Truck in the main employee lot, or will they make you park way in the back or take a bus to work?

Talking Very funny.

It's a huge facility. I think it's slated to open up production in
summer 2003.
PSD, it's nice to see some more Mississippians here.

I think import companies are generally more relaxed about those things. My brother works at Toyota research center in Ann Arbor, MI and the parking lot is a good mix of domestic and import. His wife works for Ford and the lot is strictly Ford, plus a few other Ford affliated brands. She does work at the world headquarter though, so they brass may be more image conscious. At the plants though, forget about it. All Ford and she says even Ford affliated brands are likely to cause their owners some grief.

Within a few miles of my home are a Ford plant (Edison NJ) and a General Motors plant (Linden NJ).

There is always mix of brands at both places. I would imagine that both offer an employee purchase program as an incentive.

My brother used to work at the one in Smyrna, some of the nicest Mustangs I had ever seen were in that parking lot.
