Question How long is your daily commute???

I need to go back to school next year. The problem is that the nearest college offering this course is about 70 miles from home. Driving on state highways most of the route.

How many people go through a nearly 2 hour, one way commute these days??? Latley, I'm only driving about 500 miles a month so this would be a big change.

And I thought my 15 mile drive to work on Georgia back roads was bad!

During my last three quarters of college I worked two jobs. I drove 55 miles south through Downtown Atlanta to Fort McPherson. I then drove 12 miles north of my house to the second job. (65 miles from first job). On top of all that driving ... I drove 20 miles south to School three nights a week. I was driving a '92 Honda Civic VX (48 mpg). When I sold the Civic in '94 it had 112,000 miles and still had the original brakes.

I now work out of my house ... I figure I have already had more commuting time than most people see in a lifetime.

The commute by walking to my home office is less than 25 feet. I arrive at the office and injest caffine and start the day. I leave the home office and walk about 50 feet to by second office (2002 F-150).

I then drive anywhere from 0 miles to 500 miles for the day. I own a claims adjusting co. and average 50,000 miles a year. All within a 150 mile radius of the house.

If you live in the truck like I do you have to get XM Radio.

I drive about 40 miles a day to work. But then I put about 200-400 on the truck on the weekend.

I walk no more than a mile to and from classes. I have gone a full week without driving my truck. If I go home, its a 140 mile one way trip. So I have gone 3 weeks and drove no more than 300 miles. LOL, Makes getting gas cheaper, haha

My first class on MWF is about a 4 minute walk, then from that one, about a 7 minute walk, then the next is about 1 minute. Then about 7 minutes back to my doorm. On T-R I walk the 7 minutes back, then 2 more to the next class, then 9 back to the dorm. If traffic is bad, my times get all messed up.
