Farmer Steve

Let me tell you about a guy named Farmer Steve.
Way back when, the farmer decided to grow a crop and worked hard to clear a few hundred acres through the sweat of his own brow. No one helped him clear, plow, seed or water. His crop sprang up and spread. Through the years it grew to nearly 27,000 acres. He liked what the crop had become but, due to it's shear size his pockets were not deep enough to feed and water the crop himself. The crop was going to wilt and die. He put out word that the harvest of the crop could be shared with those that would support his effort to keep the crop growing and healthy. Some saw a mutual benefit in exhanging supporting the crop for a share of the harvest. This agreement worked well so long as supporters supported and the farmer protected what the supporters invested in.

The huge, ripe crop was easily seen from the Internet sky. Crows circling ahead would swoop down to help themselves to succulant morsels. Farmer Steve had to put up a scarecrow to keep them away.
"As F150online has been forced to become a commercial venture to support our ever increasing costs, vendors who choose not to contribute financially to the site are strictly prohibited from using the F150online Message Boards to promote or conduct their business ventures in any capacity."

Dear and other creatures of the forest came through the fence at night to feed on the blooming pedals of delicious produce.
Farmer Steve had to use his shotgun to scatter whatever may be feeding on the crop in darkness of night.
"F150online defines a vendor as any ...individual that ... promotes, ... any products or services for the purpose of generating a profit..."

Farmer Steve has the crows angry with him, observers critize him for shooting at the innocent dear. No one is on his side. He is alone. He thinks about his predicament. How much more of himself will he put into this farming? Where is the upside?

Umm, posts like this?

F150online has been run the same way for more than five years. The formula works. The overwhelming majority of users here agree. There will *always* be detractors, let them bash me on the F150online penal colonies.

There will always be people that leave and think their departure will result in the demise of this site.

Guess what? They were wrong and they will continue to be wrong. To them I say, get a life. Because while *they* may lose sleep over it, life goes on and we continue to grow and prosper.

Thanks Raoul!

P.S. - Some government farming subsidies would be nice if anyone has any connections...

hehehe, true so true.

Steve, how's the new Altima? I went the other way and traded in my truck for a 2002 Maxima. Funny thing though, after a year of ownership I still wish I had kept the truck (and the Max).

Keep running the site the way you have. Its a good forum for sharing information and it's PG rating is safe for surfing at work.

We love the new Altima, thanks for asking! I've been tracking it since Day 1 with Ownersite.com. It's really my Wife's car, but I do get to drive it every now and then.

My Mom just picked up her fourth consecutive Maxima (the sedate-ish GLE model) last week. I'm a big fan of the Maxima, but I simply don't fit in it. The center console kills my right leg because of my height. (6'5")

Thanks for coming back! You'll get another F150 some day. And then maybe some of this chatter will start making sense again.

Did you ever sell yours? I am seriously considering a 2004 (same set up I had before) as a replacement for my 91 Explorer.

Nope, still have it. I also have a 2002 King Ranch sitting in the driveway. The dealer "loaned" it to me to see if I like it.

Since becoming a regular to this site, I've dreamed of finding a way to become a vendor. Well, I'm dreaming while I'm plumbing away at my job. I guess its not enough to be excited about something. I would like to ensure the exsistance of this site, as it has become habit to me. All I can do at this point is support the vendors when possible. Unfortunatley that's not often enough. I don't make a ton of money at my job (work for family) and I don't get overtime because I need to get home to see what's new on the boards. Oh, geez. Look what I've become, an F150 Online junkie.

If I have to I will get more credit cards and purchase more stuff from the vendors. If modifing my truck is what it takes to ensure the exsistance of this site, than that is what I'll do. Just before I file for chapter 7, I will put all the mods in the classified's .

Steve, your efforts are greatly appreciated by thoes of us who realize that without your hard work we could not reap the benefits. Thanks!

Yes,

I too will mod my truck more in order to help this site.
I will make the greatest sacrifice, and buy mods!

Mods, mods, mods!

Now maybe the whole world will see first hand what a selfless individual Habibi is!

PS ---> Helpful hinto for the store...
Y'all should have a "Canadian money at par special"
That will help us poor Canadians to buy more stuff.

Habibi
